Good so far
I bought this to use on my Bote 12’ Rackem (DIMENSIONS: 12′ L × 32″ W × 7” D). I went with the 12’6” to 14’ size because the Rackem is so thick. It has a nice snug fit and completely covers up the rails. I like that you can still access the hand grab in the top middle of the deck with the cover on. It also covers most of deck on the tail and just past handle on the nose. Along the sides of the deck it covers about 3 to 4 inches from the rail into towards the deck pad, which helps protect the board when using a vehicle roof rack. Only 4 stars because it has not done a long distance Interstate drive yet (70 to 80 mph speeds), but looks like it should be just fine.
Beast of a Cover for Travel Protection
We purchased this cover to protect our boards from some serious road-tripping to get to our destination. They were exactly what we needed and had no issue with the 65+ MPH highway driving we did. (I refuse to put in writing exactly the speed we traveled 😏) We don’t keep our iSUPs permanently inflated for space reasons, but it’s a great travel option to preinflate, cover, and tie down the night before. It allowed us to get on the water much faster. Love the Vamo line and this cover didn’t disappoint!
Do Not Use While Transporting
The description says "Reinforced nose and tail panels protect your board from bumps while in transport". I assumed this means on a vehicle and not from your vehicle to the water. This was a bad assumption. I have the 10.5 to 12ft cover for an 11ft solid board. I have driven with it twice (max speed ~60mph)—once going to the lake and once returning from the lake. It survived the trip to the lake without any noticeable damage, but it ripped on the way back at the fin hole.
