Best bang for the buck
For years I skimped on paddles, then I tried the Bending Branches Angler Ace. Once was all it took and I've been using one ever since. I let my wife try it and of course had to buy her one too. I've now been using the same paddle for over four years in the rocky rivers of the Ozark Mountains and is holding up extremely well.
Very light and unbelievably strong
I've used this paddle twice since buying it. That may not seem like a lot, but both times were hard days out. The first was an arduous paddle against the wind and the tide. This paddle kept me on track and helped stop fatigue due to the weight. The second was on a shallow stream that I like to fish. I used that paddle way too much to get "unstuck" from rocks, logs and sand as I was concentrating too much on fishing and very little on navigation. Bottom line is, if you're thinking about a paddle like this, stop thinking and get it. Worth EVERY penny.
The best all-around paddle I have ever used...
The best all-around paddle I have ever used. Starting from the carbon fiber shaft with a fish ruler, down to the hook remover on the paddles blade... I’ve been using this paddle on almost a daily basis for years and she is still rock solid as the day I got her.
Favorite Paddle
This is honestly my favorite paddle I own (ya I have multiple). Light weight and very strong. I put my paddles through a lot of hard work and this one is by far the best one I’ve ever paddled. If you are not looking to spend a whole paycheck... but still feel like you got a deal... check this one out.
Great paddle for kayak fishing
This paddle is light, yet strong enough to handle the abuse I put it through. I spend 8 months out of the year tournament fishing out of a kayak and this paddle has handled it with ease. A lot of my time is spend in small rivers and creeks which can be hard on a paddle with all the rocks.
Excellent fishing paddle
Strong, durable, comfortable grip, excellent fishing paddle. Paddle has a smooth movement through the water when used with my fishing kayak. Tape measure is nice to have on the shaft, but I don’t use it for measuring fish; I do use it to quickly position my hands in the proper locations on the shaft. The hook retrieval notch in the paddle blade can sometimes get caught on my kayak paddle holder deck rigging, but this is a minor annoyance.
compares well with similar priced carbon, Werner
Light, solid, assembles and disassembles well. Similar priced carbon Werner has a more rugged looking slip joint. but Werner can be near impossible to pull apart at days end. BB slip joint feels just as strong, but separates with reasonable amount of pull.
Awesome Paddle
I recently upgraded from the Angler Classic to the Angler Ace. The carbon shaft makes it lighter and makes a huge difference, especially on long days on the water.
Excellent value and durability
I have owned 2 of these for years and paddle rocky creeks, rivers and lakes. The Angler Ace is a perfect balance of comfort, value and durability. The carbon shaft and fish ruler are my favorite features.
Best All-Around paddle out there.
Love my Angler Ace. Affordable enough that let's you enjoy a good day on the water without breaking the bank. Light and durable! I would buy another Bending Branches any time!
