Superior kit!

I've owned several hiking/camping first aid kits and this is easily the best. Everything we could need for cleaning and treating our cuts, scrapes, slivers, burns, blisters, bites and stings packaged neatly without gimmicky nonsense. Pockets are actually CLEAR and you can see inside, not cloudy like other brands. STERILE gauze and bandages, notice other brands provide unsealed gauze?!

Good Design poor execution

Took it out last weekend and had two issues. 1) The bandages did not hold. Tried to cover a blister on my thumb and, even when using two, they kept comming off. 2) Kit fell out of backpack and ended up out in the rain over night. Pouch is not water proof and most contents were destroyed. Will be replacing contents with major brand items and small ziplock bags.

Great little first aid kit

I am someone who falls and needs bandaids a lot and the ones included in this kit did not disappoint. Sometimes the bandaids included in these types of kits are no good but these stuck well even during hikes. I happily haven’t needed any of the other stuff included in this kit but it’s more than enough for a short hike. I’ve had to use butterfly strips before and was happy to see some included along with topical treatments, moleskin and a “splinter out” which I haven’t opened but would appreciate. Overall a great kit for a short hike - has all you might want for regular injuries or issues.

Good For the Price

While this isn't the best first aid kit in the world, for the price, I'd say it still gets 5 stars. It's very compact, and has just enough extra room if you want to add something small to it. I appreciate that it includes scissors, as a lot small kits I looked at do not. I do feel like there are a few things that could have been included (latex gloves, etc), but like I said, for the price it's good enough. We didn't even pay full price for this, so that's even better. I also think it's great for keeping in the glove compartment of the car when not on the trail.

Used it 3 times on our first hike of the year

Glad we had this, ended up needing to use it 3 separate times on our first big family hike of the year. The one thing it doesn't have that I'd highly recommend is a pair of tweezers. The kit comes with a lancet for digging at a splinter, but without any sort of tweezing capabilities, I had a rough time digging a splinter out of my kiddos' toe. I like the way the pouch folds open and gives you a good view of everything.

Handy Fiirst Aid Kit for Day Hikes

This Hart Day Hike Kit is perfect for throwing in your day pack, jacket pocket or even glove compartment for those small injuries that life throws at you. The kit is small so it doesn't take up a lot of space, weighs nearly nothing (104g's on my kitchen scale), but includes all the necessities for minor cuts or abrasions, headaches, stings, etc. while on a day out. The kit is organized well with 3 sections internally to sort and separate the included items. This kit will go with me whenever I'm out for the day - super easy, light, and contains enough to ensure a bit of piece of mind for any unexpected cuts or scrapes while out and about.

A great individual kit and room for more

It's great to have a kit that has room for a bit more--I like to add some slim clippers, a pen, and a writing pad. Sometimes I want to add extras like cough drops or an Rx capsule. Or maybe i want to put in a good knife or a bigger set of scissors... whatever, it's got some expansion and customization capability. Very happy and highly recommend this kit.

Great Bag!

We recently took this with us on a camping trip and definitely came in handy! The clear pockets help to see the items and they don’t fall out when you open the kit. We ended up needing two bandages- they were very comfortable and lasted days! I will definitely be packing this with me every time.

Good quality items

I fell hard on the street today with a heavy backpack. The gauze pad in this kit is thick, the cloth medical tape is narrow (half inch) but strong, flexible, and sticks well, and the bandaid is flexible, cloth, and sticks well too. I was rattled and it was comforting that the materials I reached for were quality. I would add something to flush a wound, like an irrigation syringe or a small eye wash saline bottle. Fast clean rinse onsite (before the adrenaline wore off...) would have saved me painful scrubbing at home. I will also be adding a couple medications for solo overnights. When you buy it, unpack it and familiarize yourself with it first thing. Rookie mistake is grabbing it and going. But it is well organized and even so I found things quickly while upset.

Inexensive, Not Cheap

This little kit really helped on a recent multi-day backwoods hike. There is a little extra room in the kit, so I managed to fit a folded emergency blanket and additional analgesics inside. The scissors feel a little less sturdy than I prefer, but didn't fail when they were needed.
