So far, I've only used this in the tent configuration. I may update this review later as I test out others. Word of caution, this tent takes a few times of setting up before you get the hang of it. Practice. After that, it's a very quick setup, even with only one person. During my test set ups and while camping, one design feature makes me very concerned about how this tent will do over time: the pole clips. They are plastic and feel like they could get brittle over time or snap in certain conditions. I'll be sure to bring cable ties with me just in case. I'm very disappointed with ground spikes that came with the tent. They bent the first time of use way too easily. I'm posting a picture of how they look after one use. For the price, I guess I expected better materials for both the clips and spikes. The tent itself is light weight, roomy and comfortable. It has a number of built in pockets and loops in addition to having the light strip. I used a few bungee cords with the hoops to hang towels and clothing. Worked great! The tent it well ventilated and big doors on two sides. Condensation did happen but it was terribly humid during my first trip with it and all tents have that issue at some point. However it dries out quickly, especially if you invest in a camping fan. Overall, I'm extremely happy and look forward to more camping with this tent as well as canopy coverage at home.
wow I'm glad I brought it because it's very tough fabric! last longer! cheap ones don't last longer and rain can get through like bleed through. this tent I brought don't even showing any wet on the walls that mean it's not bleed through!! love it!!
We've been Ten Sleep Station fans for a few years now, but the switch to Titan 4 was a no-brainer. Adding the Accessory Vestibule turns a tent into legit living space. The spacious interior allows us to stand up, change clothes and move around without bumping elbows. Eight pockets create sensible and organized storage capacity. The half-screen doors allow versatility for all weather. We truly love the "Accessory Vestibule" and the option to have it on either side of the tent entries. The shape and direction of the vestibule allows privacy, but also viable hanging out space! In fact, my husband would like to get a second add-on vestibule, so we have "his and her!" This tent makes for a perfect festival home!!!
Can't wait to purchase the vestibule with this tent.
I've owned several tents over the past decade. This one is absolute tops. It sets up in 6 or 7 minutes and the interior can be kept dry while setting up in the rain. I've camped at least 35 nights in mine so far. I can almost stand fully upright. (I'm 6 feet tall). I can walk in and out with a minimum of stooping. No crawling. No dressing lying on my back. I love this tent. I have asked Big Agnes to please produce it again. Several of my friends would buy it!
This is my favorite car camping/ base camp tent on the market. The external frame is ridiculously strong (the big bad wolf wouldn't stand a chance at blowing this down), it's extremely roomy for up to 4 people (maybe more in a storm), the list of features is endless (mountain glow lights and pockets everywhere), and the vestibule is gigantic (more than enough room for everyone's gear, with room to spare).
I used it car camping in the Michigan U.P the end walls are made of screen material which allows wind driven rain to penetrate inside. We put up the vestibule on the windward Sid to add more protection. Will be buying a second vestibule to close in the opposite side for additional protection. Disappointed considering the cost of the tent
this almost is the perfect tent for rafting trips. if this had some walls that snapped into the open ends. just a simple trapezoidal wall using the existing clips would make it perfect.
We bought this tent and we're incredibly excited to use it, especially with the excellent reviews. Here's what we learned about it. PROS: -The Titan is easy to setup, taking me roughly 5 min the first time. -Incredibly sturdy. -The MTNGlo is a fun touch. -Plenty of pockets and space for 4 people. -Using it for shade only is a unique idea. CONS: -There are few areas to get airflow and the rainfly cannot be removed, so warm air in the tent stays in the tent. -The doors only have tiny windows, which also does not allow for much ventilation. -The MTNGlo is really just LEDs on a string; not a deciding factor. -There's a weird orange belt for this tent, but I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out what it was, but it did create a tripping hazard. Overall, the materials and construction are top notch. If we lived in colder climate, this tent would be amazing. Sadly, even 70° weather was too hot. It was so uncomfortable in the tent that we ended up waking early and leaving. I don't understand why better ventilation was not considered, since the rainfly cannot be removed and will, therefore, keep in a significant amount of heat. If the doors could've been fully unzipped, this may not have been an issue, but the tiny windows do not help in the slightest.
