Beware!
We bought a pair of Keen Sandals May 2018, so the shoe was only a year old. Also my son didn't wear it that much..only on water days. We also stored it in a box to keep it from getting dusty. As you can see from the picture the whole sole of the shoe came off and my son had a really bad fall from it. Just beware because Keen and REI only guarantees products to be free from manufacturing and material defects for one full year from the date of purchase. But like the whole sole came off and that shouldn't happen at all.

My son loves how these sandals are more lightweight like a sneaker. He’s gone through 2 pairs now. Each lasted about 9-10 months with daily wear.

We love Keens! We have bought this style shoe for our twin boys( 11yrs old now) for the last 2 summers and they have held up wonderfully for their ""all boy"" lifestyle. The only reason we needed to replace them was because they grew out of them. They have been taken to camps with mud pits, hiking, and water parks etc. and they clean up great! Hose them off and throw them in the washer. No odor issues. They did not frey nor did the glue pull away and the traction held up. I swear by these shoes and I hate they will be out of kids sizes next summer. Worth every penny!
Great summer/water sandal for my grandsons!
Recently bought these for my 4 year old and 2 year old grandsons! They love them and mom and dad love them! Their neighborhood pool recently opened and the 4 year old just ditched his training wheels. Now when they ride bikes to the pool, his toes are protected and safe for bike riding without having to put on socks and shoes!! Also Super sandals for the river!! LOVE LOVE LOVE how comfy and protective Keen sandals are. For some reason, the size 5's I got for the 2 year old are very easy to put on. The size 8's for the 4 year old are a little harder to get on...we have to really loosen the top velcro strap all the way and "work" his heal in. Once on, they are great and fit really well!! Highly recommend for active kids!
Arrived broken
These arrived with a broken bungee cord toggle. Customer service told me they "couldn't do anything" because they're out of that shoe when I asked for spare parts and I should contact Keen. Really disappointed that these were a) so fragile and b) that I blew fifty bucks on something I'll have to fix before my child can use it. I would return them, but my kid is in love with the color.
I would buy this again and again.
It's perfect for my 3 1/2 year old who has wide feet and very active kid. My husband love the look and color of this shoe on our child. I bought it for our trip to the Caribbean and it's wonderful for beach hiking walking around. Very comfortable and true to fit. Good looking shoe and feet wont get tired or blister. Keens are the only sandals I buy for our family because there well made strong comfortable shoe and last for years except my child's foot grows out of them.
Love these shoes for my busy boys!
I buy Keen sandals for my boys every spring and they have no issues holding up against everything my 3 year old and 20 month old throw at them! I love that they can get wet with no rubbing or other comfort issues. My 3 year old likes to keep his on in the pool even so he can have grip when he gets out! Love the new style also. I'd say they run a touch big. My son was in a 10T in Keen sneakers so I ordered an 11 in these and they're a little bigger than I anticipated.
Great
Great versatile shoe. I got a size 4 for my 9 year old and 6 for my 12 year old. I sized up probably a full size for hopes the they will still fit next year and they fit fine. They are big but does not impair wear. The cord to tighten them totally works. They got them for walking/fishing in a creek but have also worn them biking and hiking. They love them so much! They look really cool too. I originally thought Keens weren’t too cool looking but these ones are.
These are worth the money.
My kids live in these during the summer. And I know their feet are protected swimming in our alpine lakes (slippery sharp rocks) but they’re also super comfortable to walk and hike in! Love the sneaker bottom. I just inherited my sons old pair (hey...they’re broken in!) wish they could use the antimicrobial footbed of old. The new ones stink (very badly after a few days) making it necessary to wash much more often.
Magic on the little ones feet
These things are manufactured with fairy dust and magic. Normally my 7yr old can run through a pair of new sneakers (high quality, expensive from various brands) in just a month or two. However Keens try as he might the sign of him having worn them is the smell of little boy stinky feet. Not a frayed string...nothing. I can’t recommend a pair of keens highly enough.
