Great idea, doesn't really work

The Atlas Jacket was a great idea: a commuting jacket that's visible in car headlights. The reality was disappointing. The jacket is a fairly short, boxy cut, with nothing to keep your rear warm or dry in exactly the inclement weather it's designed for. It's also not very breathable. Despite the full length zips down the front, I found myself uncomfortably warm, even when the temperatures were a little above freezing. The killer for me, though, was when my partner drove past me as I cycled, one evening. She said the jacket wasn't especially visible. A few days later she passed me again and, despite specifically looking, still didn't think it was any more visible than a regular jacket. I could live with the shape and it being a bit warm and clammy, but there's no point if it doesn't really do its job. I returned it, disappointed.

Issues with the zipper

It is a nice jacket and as someone who uses it a lot for going to work i was a highly disappointed in the zipper. Ive had to replace the first one bought after 2 months because the zipper teeth had broken off and after receiving may replacement a year later the same issue. For the price you are paying i would hope they could figure it out. so now i have to see if i can get the zipper repaired. Hopefully they have solved this problem because i loved the jacket.

Better than advertised

I do not ride a bike ... and while this is categorized as a biking jacket ... it is ideal for this senior citizen to walk at night without fear of not being seen. It is all it says it is ... waterproof, windproof, vented so as to overheat wearer, breathable and most of all it lights up like a Christmas Tree when light hits it. I love it.

I wanted to love this jacked

I’ve had this jacket for three months and am deciding to return it because of how wet it gets. It does not soak through, but because of the soft shell outer layer it stays wet for about a day. So if you wear the jacket in the rain in the morning expect to still have a wet jacket for the commute home.

Well designed, great item, also looks marvelous.

This is a exquisitely designed jacket and it looks better than the photo. I have not tried it in the rain, so I cannot write to that. I do not use the hood; the collar is high and comfortable and the hood would only be needed if it was raining. The item blocks the wind and it is warm. While riding, if you start to overheat, there are two large side front vents that you can open to vent the excess heat. With just a tee-shirt, I have worn this item in the high 50's and was comfortable. I like that the sleeves are long and they go over your riding gloves and you can cinch down the end to get a custom fit. The reflectivity does work just like what is shown in the video. If you are trying to test how well this jacket lights up; do not shine a bright light too close to the item because the reflective light will be washed out. Also, if you are trying to test the item while someone is riding and you are not directly behind them and the angle is too wide, you will not see much. I wear a U.S. size medium Tee-shirt and I get a large if the item is using worldly sizing. The large in this item was too big in the shoulders and upper chest and a medium fit exactly and looked fantastic. Between the large and the medium the midsection was very similar in size. Please note: I found the cut of this jacket to be athletic. This jacket is now my go to jacket and I wear it all the time. Remember: you get what you pay for and this item is worth the money. I am very pleased with this jacket!
