Great short for summer teavels
These are great shorts. I’d purchased them for a trip this summer. They are a great length and can be dressed up. I purchased them as I was looking for shorts that are lightweight and will dry quickly if I need to hand wash them. The pockets are good size and waistband comfortable. Not sure if I will use the drawstring, but nice that it is an option. These were not inexpensive, but I think I will get many years of use from them. I read the reviews and purchased a size 6. They are a more relaxed fit and loose, but I prefer that over tight. I weigh 125 pounds and am 5’5.
Love the fabric
These are great shorts for everyday wear. I actually prefer men's shorts for hiking because they have so many pockets. The pockets on these shorts are nice and deep. As the title says, the fabric is great. Stretchy and comfortable.
Only comes in greyed colors
I have the Trekr capris and LOVE them. They are teal. I wanted to get some shorts and ordered the Stone color. I love the fit. The length on the 8" was great; I'm 5'7" and have slim legs. These were not too short or too long. The fabric is just a good as my teal Trekr capris that have held up for several years. The fit was spot on. I ordered my usual size and they fit very well. The color . . . I was hoping for that pale kinda grey/kinda tan color that used be called stone. These are quite simply grey, so stone as in the color of a grey rock. So I returned them. They come in this stone grey, blue grey and grey grey. I'd love a of warm color choice - like a pale golden tan. So the 4 stars is simply because the color was a bummer.
Comfortable, versatile
Fabric moves with you, so comfortable. I especially appreciate the length - short enough to be practical for hiking, yet long enough to be modest walking in town.
poor snapping mechanism
The snap is of poor quality. One wrongt move and it comes undone. I've tried to with 3 pairs and and 2 sizes even the really loose one unsnap...Will have to return them all
Very comfortable and a good lenght
Really enjoyed hiking in these shorts. Also very comfortable when sitting. Moves with you.
The win me over!
Love these shorts. This is 2nd pair, replacing all skorts as these do NOT ride!! Great length as I want to be covered up but not look old. Size 12 was perfect and my usual size (>60 yrs old, 5’9” and 170lbs) Perfect for me for hiking, walking, gardening and every day. Don’t wrinkle, even after hiking the National Parks in Utah.
Wide legs not flattering on wide hips
Im 5'3" 140 lbs. The legs are very wide and made me look very wide. The fabric is fine, tightly woven, soft and flexible. Good for hot days. I returned the shorts and got the 5" which i like better though the legs are still very wide
Best Shorts!
I now have four pair of these 8” shorts! Leave it KUHL to use technical materials for comfy shorts! Not too tight, not too loose, just perfect fit! The colors are also great and easy to find marching tops.
Like but not love
I like them but I don’t love them but only because they are too short for my old lady legs. I usually buy the Trekr in a longer style and I love them but now they are pull on and I’m not a fan.
