- 2.5 mm thick weather-sealed leather sheds water while maintaining a high degree of breathability
- Stitching is twin-needle reinforced with a high-tensile-strength thread

Reasonably durable if you don’t squat too much.
Hello, everyone; I had worn ‘Blunnies’ for a good few years, had to regrettably look elsewhere… I found they became too tight across the top of the foot, I don’t know whether the ‘last’ they were designed on changed, but I tried filling/soaking with water and rubbing with beeswax, stretching them both at home and in a cobbler’s, to no avail… and I don’t have strange feet. I travel a lot, they were… ok on the ground, but footswell on flights was quite uncomfortable, and they were difficult to remove for relief. Regrettably, I’ve switched to UGG Biltmores, much the same price and slightly (for me) roomier; blue Superfeet insole recommended for arch support.
Blunstone 510
So very comfortable until the liner in the left shoe toe box delaminated away from the leather and scraped on my toes, making the shoes unwearable. Blundstone so far is not standing behind their product.
Great Daily Wear Boots
I I've had a pair of blundstone 510 in my life probably 15 out of the last 20 years. I'm on my third pair now. Apparently this company was purchased by a company from China or perhaps Taiwan and the quality slid a few years back. What happened during that period is The soles of fell apart when the boots were worn and it was hot outside. I was very discouraged because all the prior pairs I had lasted about 5 years with daily or almost daily wear. When I saw a pair on sale at REI I decided to give them a second chance knowing that if they fell apart I could easily rely on REIs liberal return policy have them replaced. I'm happy to report that the new owners of the brand appear to have worked out the bugs and I've been wearing my most recent pair, almost daily, for a year with no problems. They're comfortable, easy to put on and take off, they look good as a casual around town boot and they're fairly waterproof for Pacific Northwest winters. The only con is that these are not great boots for hiking. Because they're Chelsea-style slip-on boots and they don't have the necessary support to handle more rugged terrain or support hiking with a load.
500's are fine - 550's are better
Nice boot, but not a comfortable as the Blundstone 550. Have a pair of 550's, and there was no break in time at all. Overall, 500 and 550's are similar, but the 550 has a bit more cushion, better leather, better stitching and lining on the inside. The 500's are breaking in, but requiring a bit more work than I had expected.
Shoe fit was fine and they looked nice. The front of the shoe has a weird shape above the ankle that presses into you when you walk. Wore these once and they also cut both of my ankles. Do not recommend
Back in Black
Boots are amazing!! Currently have five pairs and I wear them all equally so far these black ones are becoming my most used because of the versatility of the color and of course confortable fit and style, I will recommend Blundstone to everyone and to buy them from REI
No breaking-in required
I tried on 15 different Chelsea style boots and this was the only one that was instantly comfortable. I have a slightly high arch and slightly wider foot but the standard width fit great. I am about to put them to the test on a two week trip.

These boots are amazing. I have been wearing them nonstop since I got them and cannot find a single flaw. They’ve been great when running in the rain on my way to class or when stomping during Timbers games. You cannot go wrong with these. Estás botas son increíbles. I waited until I had really worn these in and tried them to post a review. I bought my original 500 Chelsea boots from REI over a year ago. I've been wearing them a year. It took serious time to break them in--they are so stiff at first. I had to use a boot helper for the first two weeks of every day wear to get the shaft and instep to stretch and they did. I bought my exact size 9.5. I often buy this size in lieu of 9W and blundstones fit wide. I can wear a thick sock if I choose and the boots do not rub my toes as is often the case (I have a high Instep and wide foot). I wasn't sure at first because of the break in, but now, I am an unabashed fan. They are lightweight, keep my feet dry despite pounding rain or beach combing (it's cold in Oct in northern England). I travel to Europe often and have worn these now on wet cobblestone and icy snowy roads and I never twisted an ankle, nor slipped, and my feet were always dry. I like them because my feet don't get too hot either. I roll my foot outwards, so my heels always wear down and these have yet to show any wear like that despite walking a few hundred miles in them this year. I have larger legs--no skinny ankles. I could not fit into the blundstones with the punch out design around the shaft--far too narrow, but the boots without that detail work are much wider. This past trip to Europe, I wore slip ins on the plane and only packed my blundstones to wear. They are totally worth the investment. Highly recommend.
EMS Workers Love Blundstone
So comfortable!! I'm a medic on an ambulance and I wear these everyday to work. Have had people throw up and do other not so clean things on me and these boots have kept my feet dry and happy. Thank you Blundstone!!
