I use this with a Goal Zero Yeti 150 battery as part of my camping charge station. This panel has no difficulty charging the Yeti 150 during the day while I go about my excursions. You have to rotate it throughout the day to ensure direct sunlight on it. I typically have lanterns and phones charging off the battery during the day while it is connected to the panel. I would suggest going with the double panel for 100 watts or bigger to charge anything beyond the Yeti 150. This setup has also gotten a fair amount of use post Hurricane Irma when I was without power for two weeks.

I have the 500x with a single boulder 50. In direct full sun, that panel generated up to 35 watts of charge. I recently added a second boulder 50. In direct full sun, i get 45 to 50 watts of charge. I expected 60 to 70. Was i wrong to expect that?

Yeti 150

I recently purchased a Yeti 150, Boulder 50, 2 sets of brackets, and a 15' 8mm extension cord, all to use in my truck camper. I got my order within a short time and in good condition. Love the Yeti 150, especially since our two day power outage this week. I had power to keep phones, tablets, and lights running with no problem. Looking forward to being off grid traveling on short trips soon. Very happy with the product and the ease of installing the panels on my truck camper.

50 Watt Panel, yes please!

Hooked up the 50 watt panel to a 1000 watt yeti goal zero. It is meeting my expectations. At almost 2pm in full sunlight, I am getting 34watts. Pretty sure if I pair this with the mppt I would get closer to 40 watts. So far, I have my wifi running off the 1000 watt goal zero battery, and with the 50 watt panel, it says I have over 600+ watt hours, which is almost 29 days. That is quite a bit of back up time!!!!! Very happy with my investment. Thinking about increasing solar watts by 200 and getting the briefcase.

Fast recharging.

Purchased this to recharge a Yeti Goal zero 150. Only used it once so far on a 4 night camping trip. It takes a couple of hour to recharge after a day of charging phones and running lights at night while camping. Very light but sturdy. Looking forward to many years of service.

camper ready

I bought this to top off our trailer batteries as well as keep phones charged while in the mountains. Bought the controller through Goal Zero to use with trailer batteries. This size is perfect to keep batteries charged, portable, and charged Sherpa 50 very fast.

Well Built - Power Rating is Overstated

This panel is well built. Would like to purchase a carrying case but doesn't appear to be an option. Power rating is overstated by at least 25%. Even with the MPPT module, clear day, 75 F, 50 degree sun angle the maximum output is 36 watts. If GoalZero support wants to reach out and let me know how to improve the output, I am open to suggestions. I have the same issue with the 100 watt panel.

excellent but cable is too short

bought this for a summer long car camping trip to colorado. we’re field recording and needed power for rechargeable batteries. this is a great solar panel. super sturdy and feels well made. keep in mind it’s heavy and not easy to store if you’re tight on space. we opted for this because it gets windy where we’re going. we paired this with the goal zero yeti 200x and it works perfectly. only complaint is that the cable is short, like 2ft max! like most people, i will have my panel in the sun and my battery in the shade, so i had to buy a separate extension cable on the goal zero site. $35 with s/h for a 30ft. extension cable. so frustrating. but all in all everything works great. chargers about 1% for every 5 minutes of full sunlight. so i wouldn’t depend on the solar panel to charge the battery up from empty.
