Squad for the win

Wow. Love these! The view is a large area with minor Obstructions from the goggles structure. I was happy with the field Of view moving from a cheaper set which a more Obstructed field. I went with a cloudy lens for the northwest and it’s made a huge difference in my confidence on snowy or shady days. I got the purple/blue color and was sent an extra in the yellow lens, it’d be nice if they gave you the choice of the extra so you could pick an extra lens that’s served your needs better. Other than that the goggle strap is comfy and fits my smith vantage perfectly and I’m stoked!

Favorite goggles I’ve so far.

They do fog a little bit when it’s snowing, but I have been using anti fog wipes that’ve been working okay. Aside from that, they are extremely comfortable and they look supper dope. I’m stoked about them overall.

OK at best

The idea that you just need 1 Lens is not accomplished by these goggles - They are not bad per se, but you still need to change out for differing conditions and they are hard to change. Ill stick to my Magnetic lens set up.

Great features for a lower price point

I've taken this out on a bluebird day and a heavy storm powder day so far. The platinum mirror finish performed great in the sun. It looked surprisingly close to the image on the site, which inspires confidence in choosing tint. The spare amber lens worked better than expected in a storm. My SportRX inserts fogged up heavily while the lens did not. I trust the anti-fog claims now. Ventilation through the bridge and nose worked well, but not amazing. Likely a helmet incompatibility. Switching lenses was slightly difficult, but doable. I would worry about clip durability if switching lenses frequently. The strap held well even without a retaining clip and during soaked conditions. Straps were easy to adjust and didn't bind up.

Ski Patroller recommended

Bought the squad goggles to use for patrolling this year and they have been great! I use the clear lens for stormy days and night shifts and the clarity and definition is awesome. I have never used a clear lens before and I am really impressed and use this way more than I thought. The everyday ChromaPop red lens is perfect for the sunny days. Great definition, venting and breathability has been flawless and they are not overly large but still provide a very good field of view. Good selection of add on lenses are available as well to fine tune this to any weather conditions. Highly recommended!

goggles and strap do not fit a smith XL helmet

goggles and strap does not fit a smith XL helmet. even with the strap fully extended, its way too tight on your face. You need help from another person pulling it out and down/back up. i bought smith helmet and goggles because i heard they fit best together and i assumed the same brand bought new within the same year would work best and their products would work together. that is not true. there is also a reddit thread with other people who have the same issue with L and XL helmets and different smith goggles other than squad. the smith strap is not long enough for their own XL helmet.

Larger strap would be nice..

The lens is amazing! Unfortunately the strap is rather small, I have it as loose as it will go and the foam from the goggles still leaves marks on my face. For reference, I am using it with the mens Vantage size XL.

Smith goggles performance was perfect! Thanks!

The quality and comfort was excellent. I wore the goggles for 5 days straight. The conditions were very bright, and I had no eye fatigue at all. Never fogged, I’m glad I selected Smith!
