Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome multi-pitch climber's H20 Bottle Used on a multi-pitch climb in Red Rocks. It was a warm day and having water available during the climb without having to climb with a pack was awesome. I just attached it to my harness and climbed with it. On belays I could clip it to the belay station for quick access to water. No concern about losing it and a real plus not to have to deal with a pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High marks for the functional upgrades I've owned and loved several platypus 1 liter standard bottles before. Came across this newer design with a locking lid and carabiner style clip and am so glad that I picked it up! This was very convenient for extensive travel and time in airplanes - the bottle clipped to the outside of my pack as well as to the various airplane seat pockets and tray surfaces. Durable and free of any odd tastes. The cap performed very well - staying closed when intended, spill free, and simple enough to open it wasn't inconvenient.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Several Platy DuoLocks failed upon first use In filling the 12 DuoLocks we got to take to Philmont, at least 3 leaked from the lid immediately. After a few days use, several more leaked from the lid. After only a few more days, several leaked from the sealed base of the lid (in other words, they ripped open under the lid base). There were also several where the clip either broke or bent--making them unusable for hanging. The alternative was to stow them in a backpack pocket which then squeezed them, causing the water to leak from the top of most of them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Essential for going out I have used Platypus for more than 5 years . It's simply the best . This new dual lock is very practical . The cap closure needs practice in removing as I'm so used to the old model . I've got to try the 2 liter and see if the carabiner holds.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from New clip+, new cap - I was excited to see the addition of a loop or clip to the 2.0L, but I'm dismayed to see the unnecessarily complex (and frequently leaking) new cap. Please bring back the old, tried, true, and light lids.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks! I was planning to bring this water bottle on a bike trip across the USA this summer because it looked like a great design, but it started leaking! When held sideways, water drips out of the cap!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bought for air travel I bought this for air travel – to save space and weight before passing through security and at my destination (not be stuck with an empty liter nalgene bottle. I love the light weigh, ability to roll it up, and the secure cap (attached, with wire latch to hold it closed). I am concerned about drying time. I hung mine upside down for almost a week before the last little droplets disappeared.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great but not what I was looking for The cap has an extra loop that helps keep it securely on and the clip has a good resistance, offering the option to attach it to your backpack, pants, etc. However, I ended up returning it because of the material of the bottle. Bag bottle + pointy thing = water loss.
