Comfort and style all in one!
These gorgeous Emelie Chelsea boots goes with everything! I’m trying to be more fashion forward this season and these precious boots have made it as a wonderful addition to my wardrobe. I often wear size 8 boots and have wider than average feet. I did feel a bit of a snug on the sides, but after breaking them in they were my go to shoes every day. I recommend wearing thinner socks if you’re exact on your sizing. They are a bit darker than what is shown on the site, but I still love them regardless as it gives off that dark brown tinge to them. On the first day of wearing them, I’m already cringing at the fact that it was raining outside at the time. Not something I would step on puddles with, but they live up to their name when Sorel states “waterproof”. Sorel has made the perfect pair and I highly recommend them for anyone wanting to add a classic staple to their wardrobe.
I've had Kohls boots last longer than these
My boyfriend bought me these shoes for Christmas, so immediately I had a lot of high expectations since I knew they cost a shiny penny. I was looking for a waterproof shoe to wear on my morning commute and also around the city, so was hopeful these shoes would hold up since I didn't like the styles of Doc Martens or Blundstones. At first they were okay, but then I brought them on a weekend trip to San Francisco over MLK Day. My feet have never hurt so bad in my life! Granted I wore them up and down hills and took them on trolleys, but was upset that I'd only had them a month and the insoles completely ripped down and started blistering my heels! I only had this one pair of boots so ultimately the trip caused me a lot of discomfort and lot of money spent on ubering instead of just walking. Just ultimately horrible. Do not buy these boots. Spend your money elsewhere. Sorrel I am truly disappointed. I've had $45 Kohls boots last longer than these.
great fit, comfort, heels not waterproof
I purchased the size I usually wear and it is snug with a thin pair of wool socks to push your foot into boot. after several wears (at least 10 times), it has stretched and is now comfortable. they also provide good ankle support. bottom is very durable and upper leather looks great after numerous wearings in the Seattle rain. My only complaint, which is significant to me, is sadly the heel is very stained from the water. the beautiful leather wrapped heels are not waterproof. nonetheless, I love them and hope to figure out how to save the stained heels.
Wish they were more durable
I bought these boots because of the style and because they claim to be "rain defying". First I noticed that the tops of my boots started to develop a lasting wrinkle from walking then I noticed that they stretched on the sides and there are now permanent wrinkles along the sides too. I could live with the wrinkles because I just wear them for work and casual outings. The nail in the coffin was the sole began to come away from the toe area on the left boot. I tried to use shoe glue to reattach and it worked for about a week then water started to get in. I can wear them for a couple of hours and then my left boot is waterlogged and takes days to dry out. Next time I will just fork out the extra money and buy Blundstone.
Definitely waterproof but very uncomfortable
I bought these boots for a trip to Europe over Christmas. On the plus side - super cute and definitely waterproof! I wore them in downpours and my feet never got wet! On the downside - incredibly uncomfortable. I wore them for three days straight before going and they were fine, but those were three days running errands in suburban CA where I was not on my feet the whole time. After one solid day of wearing them in Europe I thought my feet were going to shrivel up they hurt so bad. Took out the insoles and added some Nee Balance insoles and it worked much better. My advice - if you are going to be on your feet all day, invest in some different insoles.
I wear these boots everyday
I purchased these boots on a whim a year ago and then soon after got a job that required leather shoes that cover your ankle. These were my 'go to' option until i got a pair of work boots to replace them. Once I started wearing them though, I never replaced them. They are so comfortable, waterproof, and durable that there was no need. I literally wear them everyday, walking on all sorts of terrain, and textures (never once slipped on a roof) and they are perfect. I ride my motorcycle in them, I walk my dog (multiple miles a day) and my feet are never sore or anything. The attached photos are after a full years hard use. You can see the only thing that has shown any significant wear is the heel, and the elastic is a little stretched out on the inner section. Yes when you purchase them, they are a little tight (like all leather shoes) but quickly stretched to comfort. Would recommend them to anyone.
Tight in the toe, not much support, wicked cute
In and out of the box I absolutely loved these boots - the elastic is genius (makes them so easy to put on), they are waterproof, super cute, color goes with everything, light weight. However, I ended up having to return them because they were just too tight in the toe. I also had hoped to take these on a multi-month European trip with lots of city walking, but I don't think there was enough support for that. I really really wanted these to be my favorite new boots and I think they could be perfect for someone who didn't want them for what I wanted them for (hence the 4 stars) but they weren't what I needed.
Wonderful boot!
These were the third pair of boots I got trying to find the best everyday PNW boot, and I’m so glad I ended up with these! Right when I put these on I could tell they were perfect. Snug fit and narrow so I didn’t feel like my feet were huge or clunky. I ended up with the brown ones, because that was the only color in store and the color is true to the color. True to size as well! I want to we’re these every day and around the house because they’re so comfortable! The height is perfect as well, just above the ankle. I would Rex come to these to anyone looking for a comfortable every day waterproof boot! Cute, casual or fancy!
Comfortable and Stylish
These boots have been the perfect way to welcome fall weather! They were comfortable right out of the box, and have been ideal for the crisp coastal climate where I live. In my case they ran true to size (I wear an 8.5 in most shoes), with enough space to wear light socks or tights. It took a couple of walks for them to fully adjust to my feet, but I spend a lot of time standing and walking at work and they have been surprisingly comfortable for long days. I have also worn them walking my dog on a rocky shoreline trail, and the tread made them feel secure and stable, even in wet conditions. Highly recommend if you are looking for a versatile boot that can go from work to weekend!
Great fall boot
These boots are functional and cute! Very comfortable. They do run a bit wide but I just wore thicker socks and it was not a problem. Wore them running errands and on a trail hike. Loved them for both and got several compliments on them.
