Good, but not as good as Sahara Roll-up
I bought these to replace a pair of Saraha Roll-up pants I lived in this summer. I want to love these too, but am not sure that I am keeping them yet. They are comparable to the Sahara in terms of pockets and material, but the waist on these does not work for me. I am hourglass shaped and the rise is at least an inch higher than the Saharas so they are not as flattering. Further, they now hit me where I naturally bend and can be uncomfortable when moving as the waist has no give. They also moved the elastic waist-adjustment to just one side so if you try to tighten it more than more than 2 buttonholes it gives the pants a weird uneven look. That said - I do love that they now have a less flair to the bottom and that they added flaps to all of the pockets.

Doesnt hold up on trails with brush
I wore these for two days while hiking through the forest. I originally bought them because they advertised "re-enforced cuffs" which I thought meant they could handle a little terrain. I encountered some parts of the trail that forced me to walk through some shrubs, and unfortunately, these pants tore easily. I now have about 5 holes in my new pants from snagging on branches. If you aren't planning on wearing them in these kinds of conditions, they are very comfortable and nice looking, just not built to last.

Sahara Rollup Pants Comparison

I just got a pair of Kornatil Roll-Up pants in petite 10P...I really love the Sahara and wish they would bring them back because these are not cut the same for my size. I wear them almost everyday for work and for the cost I will have to pay to have the Kornati pants shorten and I am not sure what to do about the waist as it is a bit smaller. I still have the tags on them and I may end up returning them it's just upsetting when companies change brands and try to make the same product but they miss the mark when the measurements are not the same...very unhappy customer :( I will keep watching to see of others feel the same and hope for the return of the Sahara pants.

Kornati Rollup/Sahara Rollup Pants Comparison

I bought the Kornati Roll-Up Pants as the Sahara roll-up pants were not available and hoped they would be similar. They fit as expected and are very similar to the Sahara roll-up pants in terms of material, pocket size, etc. Fair warning there is zero stretch in the waistband and it doesn't have the padding that the Sahara pants do but they do have the inner elastic so you can tighten it if needed.

great travel pants / minimal travel

Brought two black pairs to S.America for a two week trip. Washed them in the sink, rolled in a towel, and dried overnight. Good lightweight travel fabric. As people mentioned, there isn't much give in the waistband, so be sure to check your size when moving/squatting. The rollup feature is reasonably subtle in the black. The covered zip pockets (2 back, 1 thigh) are one of the best features. The thigh pocket fits a passport (though it will curve around your leg if you leave it there all the time). The zip pockets with the covering flap make them much harder to pickpocket.

Extremely disappointed

I loved my Sahara roll-up pants and took a chance on ordering these online as my REI store is some distance away. I have now wasted an REI discount coupon on something that I will be returning. If you liked using the lower roll-up on the Sahara pants, these still might be ok for you. Otherwise, these are useless and not a true rollup pant as they only rollup to basically the top of a pair of hiking boots which is pretty pointless. In addition to making great hiking pants, as a teacher, the Sahara pants were my go-to pants for warmer months at the beginning and ending of the school year as they could be rolled up to be cool enough on the playground and still professional enough for school attire. Please bring them back.

Petite Women w/ Hips — this is for YOU!

I never find outdoors clothing made for petite women, let alone outdoors clothing made for women with small waists and wider hips. These fit great! Sizing notes: I’m a solid 4-petite in almost any brand I try, and the 4-petite fit me well. I’m curvy in the hips with a small waist. I may buy another pair in size 2-petite as well. It runs just a tad baggy around the waist, which I sometimes like, but sometimes I want a pair that’s slightly more fitted. If you are solidly a 4-petite and don’t have a small waist, I’d stick to this size. Also, no gap at the small of my back, which is awesome! Make more colors, please!

Petite? Excuse me!

I was told that this was the next generation of the Aldervale, which I absolutely loved, but cannot order anymore. I ordered this in 0 petite, hoping it would fit like the Aldervale. First of all it is way too long. I am 5 feet tall, and I will have to do major hemming to get it right. Secondly, the 0 petite would fit an elephant. I can put two thighs in one pant leg. Did I say I was petite? I am 5 feet tall and skinny. Years ago I could buy a 4 petite and it would still fit. Now the petites have morphed into genormous sizes, and it is impossible to buy anything to fit unless I gain a lot of weight and grow a lot taller. This pant is going back fast,

My favorite pants!

Absolutely love these pants! Light weight, breathable, and fits well, which is incredibly hard to find (small waist, curvy hips, thick thighs). Durable and incredibly functional. I got 3 pairs after trialing then out. Use them at work all the time (they masquerade nicely as dress pants with way more functionality. Side pocket anyone?!) Hold up well hiking in both warm and cool weather. Fabric is slightly stretchy which allows for comfortable movement for any activity. Was so sad to see them discontinued! Please bring them back REI! They’re one of the few perfect curvy fit hiking pants out there and I never have to sew back on buttons (looking at you Prana Halle).

okay

I bought these pants to wear when hiking and camping. I like their shape when standing. The pockets are well placed and large enough. The roll-up into a capris- option is helpful. However, there is no give whatsoever at the waist, so they are somewhat uncomfortable to wear when climbing over boulders, sitting on the ground/ in a car, etc. Make sure you sit down and try other positions when you purchase them to make sure the fit is right.
