Small runs about half size too large

I'm 5'3 125 lbs. I ordered a small and they were pretty loose fitting from just under the butt to the bottom of the pant. I ordered a regular inseam, which was also too long. I exchanged them for a small/short, which will hopefully take away some of the bagginess. If I didn't weightlift, which causes my lower half to get bigger, and climb, I would order an xsmall because for over all appearance they would look better a little more fitted. However, I was afraid I would grow out of the xsmall quickly and if I tried to climb in them, they might split in the butt area. I would order a size down from normal sizing if you want them a little tighter/just as lounging or going out pants. Order your normal size if you are using them for a sport that causes you to stretch, such as climbing. wonderful material, super comfortable, just too big.

Too Baggy to climb or even walk in!!

This would be a good lounge pajama pant only- I attempted to go into the alpine and climb in these synthetic pants- only to be tripping on them the whole way up the trail- Yes they have an ankle synch cord that is sooo long that you trip on that also and step on it- so must have to make a bunch of knots to tie it up- which looks very unprofessional. My crampon went right into the pant the first step I took. Then for climbing the bell bottom ankles just kept getting in the way. Hearing they were a good pant for the booty- they have too much room for the butt making it look like you had a dump in your pants. So given this trial I will return and get a Patagonia alpine pant.

Where have you been my whole life?

Where have you been my whole life? Just enough stretch to not stretch out after wearing all day. Just enough rise to not make my butt like a foot tall (I hate high rise). Just enough length so I can still wear sandals and not trip. Quick dry for outdoor activities. Lightweight for our southern lifestyle. I have 2 pairs of the pants and 3 if the shorts. I’m in lovvvveeee.

comfy-est technical pants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am loving these pants, wishing I could wear them everyday! I was looking for hiking pants that are less restricting around the waist, and the yoga band on the Dynama pants fits the bill. The waistband fits snug enough to stay in place but not so snug to feel tight. My build is less curvy, and most pants are too big in the hips and butt for me, but not these. I love the slim legs, and the short length is perfect for my 5' height. I will wear these on backpacking trips and will enjoy the double duty they provide: technical fabric with stretch for hiking, and super comfy feel for relaxing at camp. Plus they look amazing. And they have pockets!

I am 60 y-o and I LOVE these pants

Not sure if I am like you - 60 years old, 145#, 5'9", active. I have a hard time finding clothes that are modest, long wearing, and fit well. I bought the medium tall. With age comes change. I need to wear knee-high compression socks year round so even in the heat, I wear long pants. These Dynama pants are wonderful. They are lightweight, cool when it's hot out, wash and dry beautifully, resist stains, flexible enough to work out in, fit really great on my healthy but imperfect body. If I was to make them IDEAL, I would add another 1 ½' to the long/tall length and make the pockets deeper or add a larger pocket on the thigh to hold my iPhone 11.

Works for petite women

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The size chart was pretty accurate on these pants. I usually have trouble finding pants that fit well for hiking. I am 5'2" and 94 lbs. I purchased a size XS short. With the stretchy waistband, these fit perfectly! I don't even feel like they'll fall off my hips. They hug my body comfortably. They're just shy of being pajamas, which is basically what I want out of my clothes at all times anyway. The front pockets are practical and are deep enough to fit my entire hand. I also appreciate how the color on the product image is very true to real life. While I haven't had the chance to test these out in the wild yet, I'm looking forward to when that does happen.

My New Fav Hiking Pants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I saw this hiking pant reviewed favorably on a blog, and decided to give it a try. I have several pairs of zip-off hiking pants, but wanted something a little different. I just love the fit of these pants, and the fact that the slight stretch as well as the wide waist band, makes it very comfortable to move, hike, sit, etc. These are much more comfortable than my normal zip-offs, are styled nicely so that I can wear them to grab a bite out to eat, and they don't look like normal hiking pants. I am going to buy another pair in a different color. I would definitely recommend these if you are thinking about a pair of hiking pants.

LOVE these pants!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am 5'10" and weigh around 135-140 pounds and I ordered a SMALL LONG. They are a tiny but loose on the thigh/butt area but if I wanted a snug fit I would have ordered an xs. I could even size up and get a M and have them be extra loose and comfy. They are the perfect length and do not squish my hips. They are extremely comfortable and do not pinch. The only weird thing is that around the waist, the rubber is cracking? When I first pulled them on they made a cracking noise like the rubber was old. It wasn't that they didn't fit me and I was stretching the elastic so much that they were breaking. Overall I am going to order more of these in different colors!

Look No Further!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed something that would bridge the gap of loungewear and technical, and I couldn't be MORE pleased. They ROCK. I know I am adding to the already glowing reviews, but ladies, you HAVE to give these a go. I am a skirt hiker normally, but I wanted something different in the mix as well as serving my yoga pants needs in terms of comfortability and for practice. Tall order, right? Not for these pants! These are light, stretchy, waistband is oh-so-comfy, and look FAB on every body. They are true to size; I am in between a medium and large and I went large, glad I did...I can layer with tights or long underwear for the fall!

True to size and WARM!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these as a winter hiking pant, just took them on a test run 10-miler in 40° weather and was NOT disappointed!! The fleece is soft and warm, paired with wool socks and a puffy jacket I was comfortable all day, even after I got sweaty hiking. I was also pleased that there were ample pockets for holding my phone and map, and that the drawstring held them up well despite not being able to wear a belt with them for lack of belt loops. I'm 5'3 and only the 32" inseam was available, but I just rolled them up like I have to do with all my other pants. They're a slightly relaxed fit, so I think these will be great paired with leggings when it drops below freezing, too!
