almost a good jacket

It's a fairly warm softshell, which is apparently hard to find these days, so I appreciate that. The flaws I've noticed so far are that the zipper isn't windproof in any way. It's bizarre that a windproof jacket lets wind rush in through the zipper unchecked. The other flaw is that the interior pocket falls _outside_ the exterior hand pockets, which means if I put a book/phone/tablet/e-reader in that pocket I can't also put my hands in their pockets.

Perfect Florida Jacket

Florida during the winter can be in the low 60s/mid 50s and windy on average with a random rain shower. This jacket is perfect for those conditions so far this year. It has a light bonded insulation good for I'm sure 40's and above with nothing but a t-shirt (it's yet to get that cold). I like to go backpacking as well as walking around theme parks, this has been perfect in high 50s with wind. It will keep you dry in a light rain for some time but it's not a hooded rain jacket and not designed to replace one. I'm 6'1 175lb and medium fits perfect in every aspect.

Great travel jacket

Bought this jacket for a cool to cold trip to Europe. It was great! Lots of space to store and carry things without bulk or weight. Walked in the rain and stayed very dry. Kept me warm but not hot or heavy. Bought a size larger than I usually do. It fit me just right.

Great for active or relaxed wear

I bought this jacket in dark grey, perfect for being active in cool to cold weather, the very dark grey also lets me get away with wearing it as business casual for work.

Nice Jacket

I like this jacket. Replaced a canyonwall with this one for chilly fall mornings. Has a chest pocket and inside pocket which is great. A lot of new NF jackets are short on cell phone pockets. I like that this is wind/water proof. Only complaint is the sleeves are a little tight in the forearms. I have skinny arms, still tight. Hoping is stretches out some. Other than that is a great jacket and will get used until it is Chromium weather out.

Warm and Stylish!

I wanted an Apex fabricjacket that slits in between my Canyonwall and Chromium in terms of weight and warmth. The choices came down to the Risor or the Bionic. I'm glad I picked the Risor. It's not as boxy as the Bionic but just as warm and a little more stylish. Great for those evenings out on the town when I want to wear something other than my thermoball. It's great for my commutes to and from work. Great in temps down to 45F.

Maybe not technically "slim fit," but darn close

Very well put together; loved the material and weight. Unfortunately, it feels much more like a "slim fit" cut with narrow shoulders/chest and extra long sleeves. Ordered online, and sadly had to return it. I would buy this if it were a regular and/or relaxed cut; it would be perfect for year round San Francisco and N. California coastal weather.

Comfortable and Casual

I love this jacket. It’s very comfortable and casual and keeps me warm enough on a decent fall day. It has zippered pockets and holds all that I need. I can wear it inside if needed and also blends well with my fall wardrobe.

Good all around jacket

Great lightweight jacket that can handle light rain. Really good at blocking the wind. Love the Chicago Cubs blue color! It's going to be very useful during the month of April at Wrigley Field.
