Good caps, just be make sure L v R
Stopped into my local REI to pick these up, and I think we all thought they were reversible. They are definitely not. I didn’t even think about it and just told the sales person I needed the caps for both ends of my back bar. The gentleman pulled two and I purchased them to take him home because I was not driving the car with the yakima bars on it. Got home to install them, and discovered that I had two of the same and caps. Lesson learned make sure that you have the right caps for what you’re replacing. On a positive note when I made the extra 40 minute trip back to swap out the duplicate, they pulled one right off the display because they didn’t have any more of either end of the caps in stock. I don’t actually give us about 4 1/2 stars, only because it’s not marked anywhere that they are not interchangeable and they look almost like they are identical. It’s a super close thing if you’re not paying really really close attention. So before forewarned if you need one verify which one it is that you need. And make sure that their sales person knows too- especially if it’s a bit of a trip to your local REI.
