Tough and very impressive performance
We recently purchased a Hopper Two 40 just for the purpose of keeping our food cold during a back country mountain goat hunt. We had intentions of staying for a week to get the job done and needed the best cooler on the market. Being a western Wyoming hunting guide my job and i put equipment thru very rigorous endurance tests. The Hopper held up very nicely on the long horse pack in and also the 5 days in camp. The most impressive part was after 4 days in camp we still had to get the food out early enough to thaw it to cook. Our steaks and burger we had packed in the Hopper were still frozen in the cooler on day 5. My wife was able to harvest her goat and after the 60 day drying period will likely rank as one of the top Pope and Young goats in the state of Wyoming. Most likely the highest scoring Pope and Young goat shot by a woman in the State. Our stay on the mountain was made very comfortable by the Hopper as we were able to eat like kings every day. Big Enough to pack a 2 year old!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Hopper 20 before I got this Hopper two 40, found myself filling it up with my daily lunches for work. Now I have extra room and dont squish my chips. Also use the yeti ice with it and my food dosent thaw out before lunch. Big enough for road trips where there isnt enough room for my tundra 45, plan on taking it to the range and camping/hunting trips. When i pulled it out of the shipping container my son fell in love with it and decided to climb inside, big enough to fit a 2 year old.... just dont zip it up, it really is air tight. Recommended to anyone who buys quality over quantity!
Durable, keeps drinks cold!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took my Hopper Two 40 on vacation July 8th thru 13th traveling through Nevada, Utah and Arizona flying from Chicago. This large cooler easily fit into my luggage with clothes being placed inside of it. Once landed, we filled cooler with ice and drinks and began road trip. The weather outside each day was over 100 degrees and inside the car much warmer. I was impressed by how long the ice lasted and how easy it was to replenish. Clean up was easy, just pick up and empty. This was great in hotel rooms and was pleasantly surprised to see other travelers with their various YETI products on the road. Very happy with purchase.
New and Perfection Improved
I bought my first Hopper 40 a few years ago as a gift for a friend to use while traveling between the islands in Europe to keep the meat frozen and food fresh as he traveled 4-5 hours at a time. I first saw a Yeti when my kids came home with the Largest Tundra 105 they bought to use for work in construction. Then all over the kitchen appears several Ramblers including one for myself. The Yeti is the ultimate in keeping things frozen or cold for hours! Even 8 hours at Disney in the car the ice was still in the Tumbler! The Hopper 40 worked so magically that I am bought the new one to take to Europe since my friend requested me bring another when I return this September. After receiving the new and improved Hopper I realized that I love the new zipper location as it allows for a wider opening which allows more storage. Simply put! #loveYeti
VERY DISAPPOINTED
I bought this cooler as a Christmas present for my husband the very first year it came out. I was excited about the claim that it would keep ice for up to five days. I have been EXTREMELY disappointed with the product. While it is sturdy enough, ice does not last even one day, much less up to five. We keep our beer refrigerated, so it has never been a matter of putting room temp/warm beer in with ice. We also try to keep the cooler in the most shady location that we can find on our many excursions (camping, kayaking, motorcyle riding) and yet we still end up with a Yeti full of cool water, NOT ice and NOT cold water! Needless to say, I have not purchased another Yeti product since.

We are also able to take it on horse packing trips. Big hard coolers don’t work packing on a horse so this soft cooler that is just as good as our big hard Yeti is perfect. We’ve never been able to take a cooler with the horses before now! So excited for the summer and more trips with our Yeti’s
Very Large Bag Cooler, Great Quality
Great cooler, seems much larger when you have the physical cooler in hand. My wife & I are shorter so it can feel bulky when moving it around but it holds plenty of what we need so it's not a big deal. Works great for road trips, sits right behind the seat and keeps food & drinks cold for a couple days. Loaded it up with some Yeti ice blocks, ice, and drinks on a Friday morning to go on a trip and left Yeti cooler in car behind the seat for entire weekend. Temperatures got in to the 90's that weekend, when we got back home Sunday afternoon most of the ice had melted and the Yeti ice blocks were thawed but the leftover drinks were still cold and went back in the fridge, awesome product.

Best Cooler EVER!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a month ago to take cold drinks to less fortunate kids at an elementary school when we go to the local park. All I can say is wow. When we open the hopper cooler hours later to distribute the cold drink, it’s as if we just poured the ice in it, hardly none of it has melted. It’s indestructable and super lightweight. It’s been on its side in the car with zipper face down and hasn’t spilled one drop. Can’t say enough about it. If you want the best get a Yeti. Don’t bother with the copycats that try and look like them, they are not the same thing!
