Sizing Notes

Select the letter that matches your shoe size range. Letters on all Superfeet products represent heel cup width. For Superfeet insoles to work properly, your heels must be "in" the heel cup entirely, not "on" the heel cup on either side of foot. Stand on a pair of Superfeet in the letter that corresponds closest to your shoe size making sure your heel fits nice and snug "in" the heel cup. If that heel cup is too small, select the next letter size up. After you find your perfect heel-cup fit, simply trim the excess foam (using the sock liner from any of your shoes as a guide) and insert the new trimmed insoles into your shoes (removing the sock liners first).

Good, but Not as Good as the Pink Ones

I wear Superfeet regularly, and have done so for the last 15 years. I usually use the pink ones in my hiking and athletic boots, as well as thinner dark green ones more suited for daily use in my dress work shoes. I am on my feet regularly, and they keep my feet happy. They are great. These do not feel like typical Superfeet. They do not have as much arch support in the center arch of the foot, which is what Superfeet is great for. So that part was disappointing. However, the shock absorption is excellent. For example, when dismounting from a horse, my feet start about four feet off the ground. It usually hurts when hitting the ground. These insoles take that pain away. If they can eliminate pain from a drop of four feet, they probably will take shock instead of your joints for hundreds of miles of hiking also. They also feel a bit tall in the back, and lower in the front, which was unexpected and not desired. This is probably to accommodate the shock absorption, and might change with use. Overall I would recommend them for shock absorption, but prefer the pink ones.

Meh....

I picked these up today at my local store. They are not impressing me much compared to other Superfeet models. I have bought Superfeet brand for years so maybe I should give other brands a try. I 'll be hiking with them this weekend but my initial impression: Superfeet refuses to give us an insole with really thick cushy forefoot cushioning. That would certainly help my low volume foot. And the arch support area is still that standard hard plastic with the curvature of the arch a bit too far forward. I'm an over pronator who has struggled with PF, arch pain and ankle pain. So I am still on the quest for the holy grail of insoles for my Altra hiking boots.

Gave me multiple blisters on a backpacking trip

I bought these with the hope that they would reduce general fatigue in my feet for a longer backpacking trip. Instead, I ended up with multiple blisters on both feet particularly around the inside and outside of my heels and the inside part of my arches. I took the insoles out of my boots and compared them to my feet; all of the blisters line up exactly where the edge of the insoles meet my feet. I think the heel on these is cupped too deep and leads to this blister/rubbing issue. Superfeet has a 60 day guarantee so will be seeing if I can get a refund. Not happy at all and will be putting my original boot insoles back.

Gave me blisters

I have used the Berry Superfeet for years, and decided to try these out the last time I needed new insoles. These really did not work for me. The deeper heel cup ended up rubbing blisters along the sides of my heels, where I'd never gotten blisters before. I also ended up with severely bruised toenails after a 4-day backpacking trip, another issue I'd never encountered before, presumably because the insoles allowed my feet to slip forward in my boot. I do think the cushioning is good, because my feet didn't tire out nearly as quickly as my companions' feet on that trip, but will definitely be going back to my Berries.

Helped my knees!!!

I have been struggling with knee pain while hiking, and I bought these to put in my shoes before a 3-day hike trip. WOW, I was impressed. I could actually feel the shock absorption cushion on the heel strike (especially when walking on rock). Knee pain was minimized about 80%, which I couldn't believe! I had tried these on a whim not expecting much and they really impressed me, I'll be buying more pairs for my other shoes. I had no problems with fit/rubbing/blisters. I wore them with Merrell hiking boots and Darn Tough socks.

Love. Them.

Just a fantastic product. These plus a new pair of Smartwool socks made an older pair of Keens (that I really didn't want to retire) feel like a new pair of boots. My feet and back still felt great after the few daypack hikes done with them so far. And the lovely gentleman in the store gave me tips on breaking them in, but they didn't need it. Felt perfect from day one. One word to wide-width wearers: I did have to go up a size. I wear a 7.5 wide and had to bring back the Cs for Ds. Don't trim them until you make sure the heel cup fits well!

amazing for flat feet!

I purchased these 3 years ago in an REI store because my trail runners and hiking boots kept giving me calf and shin pain. Ever since I added these, I haven't had an issue! It's pretty wild. I have been switching them between shoes, and just added them to my snowboarding boots so I figured I'd finally buy another pair. I told my husband to bend the insoles that came with the boots versus these - there is no comparison - these are way more rigid and supportive. If you have had foot/leg issues in the past, I highly recommend trying these out.

Excellent. Just make sure to go get fitted.

Before anything, I would recommend going to the store to get properly fitted for the right Superfeet insoles. Case in point, I am a male and would have never thought these insoles were for me but they were the right fit, the right use and I am so thankful to the store associate for who handed me this particular pair of insoles. I've got chronic knee pain, ankle pain and general foot soreness bugging me most days and these things are truly lifesavers. They work wonders as a replacement to many of my day-to-day sneakers like Rothy's, Converse, Veja's etc. I can confidently be on my feet all day walking around a city in chucks, which is wild. These are the hiking version which means they have support but they also have a lot of cushion so I feel like they do it all. They also easily slip in and out of all kinds of shoes. Have not tested them for running but hiking and casual use are A+.

Rocky trails with Trailblazer Insoles

In my area there are a lot of hard clay trails and rocky terrain. I have found that no matter the boot or lighter hiking shoe, I end up with pain on the way down. These insoles have reduced the pain by 75%. No more throbbing feet. I've had the Green Insoles before and the Trailblazers are even better. I'd like more cushioning in the foot pad area though.

quality but not supportive for high arch

I was looking for supportive inserts for new hiking shoes and bought these Superfeet trailblazers sight unseen online. On the upside, the cushion in the heel is helpful and the overall feel of the insert is high quality. However, I had to return them for a couple of reasons. I found the heel cup to be too deep making a ridge that rubbed my heel and more importantly, the arch was not supportive enough for me. Since I returned these to the store, I decided to try out a half dozen other inserts. The sales person who helped me said that Superfeet's arch tends to be set too far back for most people so sizing up is key. We tried this which then placed the arch in the right spot. However, it still left a gap for me so I switched to another brand that offered more support, again playing around with size to get the arch placed correctly. Definitely good learning!
