Loving Foot Glide
Best product I have come across in a very long time. Prior to trying foot glide I was prone to blisters and hot spots every single time I hiked. I purchased differentbrands of shoes in different sizes, different brands and weights of socks, and liners. I wore them all in different combinations trying to prevent the blistering. Thank you to The REI representative that recommended foot glide. I backpacked 50 miles in 2.5 days at Yosemite in July. I did not get any blisters. My feet were tired but I was blister free. I have hiked multiple times since and have continued to be more than satisfied with this product.
Finally...blister free
Backpacked the Portuguese Camino de Santiago this summer...150 miles with a lot of hills. I put it on each morning before hiking and...not a single blister. On three previous Caminos, all on the French route, I fought blisters all the way. Most of my fellow hikers using other foot products weren't so fortunate. It's definitely 5 star!!
Seems to work
Purchased this product for Grand Canyon hiking trip. Used it on probelm areas that I've had for blisters on my feet. Seemed to help minimize blisters from developing. Lasted all day - product obviously still in my feet at end of day. Product looks like solid deodarant stick and applies easily without a mess. You can even share it without being grossed out!
Fantastic!
Due to a medical condition I cannot pick up my left foot and thus toes when walking. Toes can become very sore from the friction against the shoe even when wearing socks! Foot Glide is amazing protection!!! I just completed 50 miles of Spain’s Camino pilgrimage without any foot issues....I was amazed and ever so grateful!!
It lasts all day
I’ve tried several anti-blister applications and this works best for me. I walk ~ 100-140 miles, weekly. Longest days up to 35 miles. I’ve used it on hot days and a single application lasts most of a day. However, I usually re-apply after 15 miles for extra protection. I apply a thin film to areas common with “hot spots,” and it does a great job of preventing / minimizing blisters and chafe.
Essential item
I am blister prone and have tried almost everything to avoid getting large holes in my feet when hiking. I finally gave up and decided the holes were just something I'd have to live with if I wanted to hike. In comes "foot glide" by body glide- and WOW! I keep this in my backpack and apply it before every hike. Magically, no more blisters. A couple of times, I forgot it and resorted to using deodorant, which helps a little bit, but nothing like the foot glide. My feet thank you body glide!
Works Great!
We hiked for 4 days straight in Banff with no issues. The first day back to Seattle doing an easy hike, we didn't put any on and my husband got blisters 1 hour in. I don't have as many issues with blisters but he sure does.
Just Buy It
Y’all. Just buy this stuff to have for camping, normal walking, whatever. This stuff has carried me through so many “walks of life.” I wear high heels everyday to work, and then I get up mountains on the weekends. A couple swipes on those hot spots, and you’re typically good to go for the day without need for re-application. Or if you do need to carry for re-application, it’s super convenient to stow away somewhere.
works well to prevent blisters
Not sure how this is different from the body version, but this size is great for backpacking. I use it mostly on the backs of my heels and it works well to prevent blisters. Just completed 100 miles in 9 days and with daily use, there is still plenty left.
Very Good Product
Very good product! Use whenever walking distances.
