Sized a Bit Smaller than Anticipated

These shorts are super cute, and I love the "Jungle Green" that I ordered them in. I'm pretty solidly in a size 22 area these days, but the 2X did not fit the bill. They were SUPER tight, to the point that I'm not sure the 3X would fit comfortably either. I will say I did like the length on them, despite being a bit shorter than what I normally wear. I much prefer the REI Co-Op shift shorts I bought though in terms of quality and I don't think I'd recommend buying these shorts at full price. (Personal opinion though - you may feel differently!) REI's return process though made things super easy. I'm fortunate enough to have one nearby, so I walked into the store with my shorts and online receipt and they processed my return in minutes.

Feel and fit aren’t the same

These look super comfy and the material feels great but once I got them on, the fit left a bit to be desired. If you’re buying plus size like I did then it means you probably have a tummy. It felt like these were riding a bit low in front. It takes away a bit of the confidence they give when you are concerned about bending or twisting and your belly showing to the world. I’ll still wear them and enjoy them but there will be a second thought lingering about pulling my shirt down all the time. If they redesign them, a bit higher waisted in the front would be great. Rear end coverage was good.

Disappointed...

I was so excited to see Nike offering products in plus sizes and ordered the shorts in size 2x in black. They did not fit very well; they were very loose around the thighs and crotch but tight in the hips. Im not a fan of the shorts with the underwear stuff in them and was disappointed that these had that; I dont remember seeing that anywhere in the description. The fabric was awkward and uncomfortable. I havent tried working out in them but having them on for even a second was uncomfortable and awkward. I might try returning them for a 1x but not sure if it would even be worth it.

perfect for big thighs

I've been looking for running shorts that don't cling on my thighs. I've tried old navy and other various brands and they're okay but you can tell that these are actually made for bottom-heavy people, not just bigger sizes with "normal" proportions. They don't cling to my tummy either- they fit so perfectly. I actually cried when I fired tried them on because they feel like they were made for my exact body. For reference, I wear size 14 or 16 in American eagle jeans and got the 1X. My waist is a little smaller compared to my thighs and hips

BEST SHORTS EVER!!!

At first I purchased and it fit but was a bit snug so I suggest going up a size or 2. Went up a size and absolutely love them!! The material, how they look, the comfort, the cut, etc. is perfect! Will definitely be getting more colors! And the fact that they don't ride when I walk is mind blowing. Perfect everyday short for a student to throw on with an oversized shirt and out the door! So happy to find shorts that aren't just another frumpy plus-size and I can feel like a normal human in.

Awkward

I want to love these so bad, but I just can’t help but dislike part of them. With the new style, i’be noticed the angle from the outer thigh and inner thigh is not drastic, which I find unflattering. It may be because I have tiny legs, but I find shorts like lululemon’s hotty hot to be more flattering in regards to the angle on the bottom. And I agree with the other reviewers about sizing down! Also, within a few months my Nike check starts falling off the new styles.

Perfect running shorts for any occasion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Im constantly on the lookout for not too short running shorts that dont creep up . I was skeptical and I would still consider these on the shorter side, but they really dont creep up! The only thing that could be improved is an inside pocket. Its crazy that all mens shorts come with at least one pocket but womens dont :( a small inside pocket would really take these up a level. Regardless, Ive work these to the gym and for long and short races and they are my go to!

Very comfortable athletic shorts!

I’m a size 14/16 and carry most of my weight in my lower stomach/hips, so finding athletic shorts that I like is extremely hard. The 1X fit me perfectly, stay in place without having an uncomfortable waistband, and are a great length (short without showing too much booty). I don’t run long distances, but used these for three weeks of hiking and biking in Vietnam and they were absolutely perfect. Definitely stocking up!

Slightly Tight/Small

I LOVE that Nike has plus size running shorts! I am a size 16 jeans normally with larger thighs. I found that the 1x are slightly tighter on my thighs than I typically like so I've started getting 2x. Other than that, I am totally satisfied with durability and comfort. Overall, I would definitely recommend these.

Great shorts!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm 6'1 and a size 14. I bought the 1X and and I am in love with them. I really like that they are long enough to wear my buttcheeks don't show but not to my knees either. They never fall down when I am running or lifting. I highly recommend!
