Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Backpacking Air Mattress, but. . . . The material /is/ pretty crinkly. . . . If Thermarest can figure out how to keep the product design and thermal reflectivity the same, but cut the noise of the thing down to a minimum, I'd never buy a different product again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice Mattress As long as you don't mind very bright green, then this mattress is for the most part very good. Like other Thermarest mattresses, they seem to lose air overnight. The trick seems to be to try not to put any full direct weight on one specific area of the mattress (like sitting up) prior to sleeping and most the air inflated with will keep the night. This All Season mattress is very warm during colder months. The exterior material is very durable and strong to the touch. The size large was a bit longer than expecting. As for the smart valve, it's extremely useful for fast deflation to pack up and can significantly cut inflating time in half as well. The compactness and lightweight construction of this mattress is quite amazing. Not too fond that the bottoms of these mattresses are no longer a darker fabric like in the photos (they are all one color now). This color green is very bright for my taste but other than that is overall a pretty awesome mattress. 4.5 stars if I could rate it such for quality construction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best night of sleep in years!! This is my first inflatable pad purchase after using my ole' trusty RidgeRest foam pad. After years of poor quality sleep on backcountry excursions, this was my best night of sleep yet!! I also really like the speed valve for ease of use. Thank you Thermarest!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sleep in the backcountry! This is hands down the best sleeping pad I have ever had. I read reviews how people are having issues with inflating the mattress. Nevertheless, I still decided to take it with me on my recent long-distance ride from Mexico to Canada. To simply put it, if you use a dry bag, then you can use this sleeping pad. Because let's face it. If you can't close up a dry sack, then you need to ask yourself what you're doing in the backcountry in the first place. I love love love this pad!

Questions & Answers

I don't understand why the regular size is 20$ more than the long and 30$ more than the wide....seems backwards if you are talking about materials costs.

Thank you for bringing this discrepancy to our attention. We are working to correct pricing and hope to have online updated shortly.

Again on the pricing, why are all the sizes more expensive than on Therm-a-rest's website? 20$ more for the large?
