Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gets the job done, but I wouldn't buy again I've had this pack for a year and it's done a dozen 1-3 night backpacking trips with me. This bag certainly will get the job done, but it seems to be missing a few of the finer details. Though, perhaps that's expected in this price point. In all, I would summarize with: Pros: -excellent size and capacity for short backpacking excursions. -comes in a few different color options so you don't get stuck with pink/purple. -it's comfortable (obviously this is fit-dependent) -it has a horseshoe zipper for main compartment access without unpacking Cons: -said horseshoe zipper has buckles over the top of the zipper so you actually don't have true "easy access." -my main gripe with this pack is that it doesn't have nearly enough compression straps, and the ones it does have pretty irrelevant placement. -frame is prone to squeaking. -waist pockets are sized too small for an iphone6. -not enough compartments/pockets. While I wouldn't discourage anyone from buying this pack, I personally will choose a different one next time I'm lucky enough to be out buying new gear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good For me this is a great size for overnight trips. XS/S is 34L capacity. It comes in black (tired of everything pink). Hidden side zipper allowing full access to main compartment without unpacking. Fits my Platypus 3L bag, load water bag first while pack is empty. XS/S is a great fit on my narrow shoulders. Mesh ventilation on back keeps me cool and comfortable instead of sweaty and sticky. Cons: iphone 6s + case will not fit in hip pocket. My smaller, older Osprey pack has a stretchy mesh material covering the pocket, the pocket material on this one does not stretch. Squeaky noise, I assume coming from the frame No little long skinny pocket on the front of the shoulder strap like Tempest has. Anything for easy access must go in hip pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used for Search and Rescue This has been my 24hr bag for for Search and Rescue over 2 years. I have done personal 3 day hikes with it many times because it's just that comfortable. It has endured harsh abuse with getting thrown amongst our SAR gear in the back of the truck, basket of the heli's or in our boats, and is still going strong. It's a perfect size for SAR. I love this pack!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Did the job! I love my purple orchid sirrus 36!. This day pack was large enough to fit three days worth of hiking clothes, but would have loved it more, if it had more pockets. Some zip pockets on the inside would be ideal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size for a weekend trip This was very comfortable. Great access to main compartment from top and from side zipper. Has self contained rain cover. Hip pockets can fit android 6, great access for snacks. Total of four zipper compartments. The pockets fit a large nalgene bottle very easily and securely, but tough to access while wearing( have your friend get it for you). There is an excellent attachment loop for hiking poles with super easy access. Perfect size for a four day lodge based hike into the Grand Canyon. I used the 2 liter osprey which fits great! Also fits in overhead compartment !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome pack! I used this pack for snowshoeing and day hiking so far. One of the most comfortable and adjustable packs I’ve ever had. Love the versatile size, the hip belt, all the access pockets and the raincover. Easy to get a good fit, since the pack has multiple frame sizes to choose from.

Is there a hole to poke a hydration bladder tube through? It doesn't make sense to have a sleeve and no hole but I don't see one

Asked by: Anonymous
This pack does have a hydration tube port. While looking at the shoulder straps, the port can be found just below the backside of the top pocket. Look for a water drop logo that says H2O.

This pack isn't available at my REI to try on. The Sirrus 24 is "one size," fits me perfectly, but I would like a 36L. Which size of Sirrus 36 correlates most closely with the one size Sirrus 24?

Asked by: Lisa
The most important measurements to take into consideration when sizing a backpack are the torso length and waist size. REI puts these measurements in the specs tab on backpacks we sell.
