Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm short and it fits well I bought this 3 weeks ago. It meets the size requirements for Machu Picchu, which is a primary reason for this particular bag. I'm 5'2", and this bag fits me well. I've been training on 12 + 13 mile hikes with about 10 pounds in the pack, and it is very comfortable even after several hours. The pole strap is very functional and holds my poles securely. I like the various compartments. The bottle holsters are deep enough that the bottles don't fall out. All the various straps allow for good adjustments whether wearing a down parka or a T-shirt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs a pocket with easy access for phone! Love the pack - used it for two long hikes this weekend. Very comfortable. The BIG MISS on this pack (and really every pack I looked at) was the lack of a convenient place to access a phone (which is my camera) when hiking. The pockets on the hip are too small to hold the phone (I have the iPhone 7 - not the Plus). It fits but it's a BIG struggle and not worth trying to use it. Really, it's 2017 and they don't have a good place to access a phone on a pack???!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful day hike bag My wife loves this bag. I bought another brand and the size was a bit too small and the frame started to poke through to her back in about 4-5 uses. While we were looking at Osprey's frame, they make it so it's impossible for it to break through like it did on the other bag. There is plenty of room in this bag and you can easily add a water bladder in there with a tube. I have used several osprey bags and likely wouldn't use another brand again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfort on day hikes I needed a new day hike pack and this fit the bill! It is highly adjustable, comfortable, and you hardly know it's there. I just wish Osprey would make larger hip pockets that fit your iPhone, because then it'd be perfect!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hydration problem Comfortable pack with good capacity and flexible loading options. I use it for hiking and skiing. One problem though - the opening for the hydration tube is way too small. It is difficult to get the bite valve, shut-off valve and clip through the slot. I didn't expect this flaw in a modern pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New changes make great pack better I was Looking for pack for my friend. Bought last year's model but did not fit or feel right. This year's model you can adjust for different torso sizes. Fits is perfect now

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great size - one flaw I have tried many packs and this one is the perfect size for my frequent day hikes. The stiff back support actually works in my favor. So far it has been one of the best packs for my back which finally does not ache after 13 - 18 mile day hikes. Alas nothing is perfect. I have to agree with another reviewer the opening for the hydration tube is way too small!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable even for my bad back I find this pack quite balanced and comfortable which for me is a big this as I have major back issues. The only improvement I'd make is the two pockets on the waist belt...I use them for kleenex (who doesn't have a drippy nose while packing in the mountains?) and the zippers tend to shread the kleenex.

I see that this pack is a Pre-Order that ships within 30 days. I need it for a trip that begins February 1st. It is now 3 January. Can I get this one in time? This is the specific pack I want - it is to replace my now-retired very old & worn out Stratus24

Asked by: Beach Hiker
Pre-Orders and Backorders are shipped as soon as we have quantity available. All timeframes are estimates because we are at the mercy of the manufacturer's schedule. For this reason, if you have a specific deadline we highly recommend considering a different option or placing the Pre-order and having a back-up plan. The previous version of this backpack had two sizes: xs-s and s-med. This is only one size - which of the two previous sizes is it comparable to? I am a s-m in the previous generation and want this to fit just as well

Asked by: nadamcc
The previous model Sirrus 24 in xs/s is equal in torso length to the one size version for this year (2017). The waist/hips on the newer model has a larger range than last year's.

Hi, just to check, would the older model of the sirrus 24 litre (size XS/S) be the same as the newer model of the sirrus 24 litre which is a O/S now?

Asked by: KimL
This pack is designed to fit the same torso and waist size that the previous model did in XS/S.

Can a picture of the back of the pack be added? The previous version has a picture to get a sense for the webbing, but the 2017 version does not.

Asked by: cassie
Unfortunately, we are unable to upload additional photos of the back of the pack.
