YETI  Hopper Flip 12 Soft Cooler

I've been hoping Yeti would come out with a cooler this size. I love the easy entry top. It also works perfectly in different configurations with 4lb and 2lb Yeti Ice packs. Great addition to the Yeti family!

I bought the yeti hopper 12 to sit behind the seat in my truck, but lo and behold it fits perfectly on the back of my Harley. my girlfriend and I took a motorcycle trip through the Colorado Rockies and we always had a cold beverage available anytime of the day. Along with Yeti Ice, two fit perfectly on top, we didn't have to add Ice until three days into our five day trip. That was with us opening and closing quite a few times during the day and having the cooler in the direct sun. Thanks Yeti for another great product!!

I purchased the YETI Hopper Flip 12 about a year ago and have been happy with its performance. It keeps my lunch and drinks very cold and feels solid and well built. However, after one small lunch spill, I’ve been unable to remove the stain despite scrubbing and airing it out for days. It also developed an unpleasant odor. For the price, I expected it to be more stain-resistant or easier to clean. I really like the cooler overall and would appreciate guidance on how to properly restore the material.

Okay, so when I bought this cooler, I justified the high price by letting myself believe this cooler was the best that money can buy. I love how it looks, I like the size, it's obviously incredibly durable, etc. But if I am being honest... these don't live up to the hype. I filled this thing with ice in the morning, plus some snacks and beers. And the ice was completely melted by the mid afternoon. For a cooler that totes "Keep ice for days" I felt like it didn't meet up to its expectations. I'll definitely still keep it, because it's a great size and it'll get plenty of use. But in my opinion; they're overpriced.

I loved this cooler until the zipper started getting caught in the corners. The zipper fabric tore in two corners and the handle pulled completely out so we tried making our own "new handle". This cooler is pretty much useless. It was used less than 100 times in the 2.5years I owned it. And yes, we did keep the zipper "lubricated" with the supplied product. Very disappointed in this product. Don't waste your money.

I have multiple Yeti products (6 coolers and multiple ramblers). Brand loyal and huge fan until the Hopper Flip 12 zipper broke. The teeth of the zipper completely broke, making impossible to open/close. Flip is only used for kids activities and always followed care instructions. I am always defending the cost compared to knock-off brands because of quality... I guess I was wrong. Incredibly disappointed!!

I bought this product last week and took it out this weekend to test it out. I filled it up with ice and put some water bottles in it and took it with me when I went to go play some Frisbee golf. I left it in my car (which is black so it gets very hot) while me and my friend played a couple of rounds. When I came back to get a drink none of the ice had melted. When I went out to my car this morning it still had a good amount of ice that had not melted yet. I have a 35 tundra which is great too, but for times when I don't need as big of a cooler the yeti flip is going to work great. Very happy with this product!

Ok first off, I'm an airline pilot and I bring this Hopper flip 12 with me on all of my trips. It hooks on the J-hook of my luggage and rolls around with me everywhere I go. I wouldn't say I'm overly abusive on it, but it is subject to pressure changes in the cabin as we climb and descend. Most of the day it sits on the cockpit floor adequately keeping my food safe and cool. I purchased this product in 2017 and it is already failing. I'm sad and disappointed because it HAD been one of the best investments I had ever made. I use it all the time and it does a nice job of keeping my food cold and it's easy to carry around with me while I'm working. Unfortunately, as you can see in the photos, the zipper has failed and it now leaks significantly if it gets tipped on its side. I hope YETI will stand by their product and replace it. Until then I'm gonna have to figure out another way to try to eat healthy on the road!

I purchased the Charcoal Grey Flip 12 as soon as it came out and I absolutely love the look. I get compliments on the daily. As far as performance goes the ice lasts 1-2 days if you pre-chill and do a 2-1 ice ratio. I mostly use my Flip as a lunch cooler and on occasion I take it to the park if I’m going to have a small picnic.

It doesn’t hold long neck bottles. Too short. It this cooler was 11/2” deeper it would be perfect. The outer shel looks great and tough as nails. The foam insulation and the high tech zipper secured the cooler air tight, to minimize ice thawing and keeps my beer cold all day. Who wants a warm beer?
