Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice and Worn This is a great fleece. It fits well, is warm and looks great. The problem I'm having with it is it is showing premature wear. After only a few months I have notice some of the stitching starting to fray and the fleece is starting to ball up. I have trimmed the offending stitching and will use a comb to remove the balled up fabric. It just seems a bit soon for this to be happening.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fleece I have the previous version of this fleece. No issues with zippers, maybe that's an issue with this new version. This fleece blocks wind well and although is quite warm on its own it is great for layering under a rain jacket. Breathability and wicking is great. The fit is slim, or athletic, and suits it well especially when layering. The longer sleeves with thumb holes are a must. Very happy with this fleece!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Jacket The Kuhl Intercetr is now my favorite fleece jacket. The fit and fashion is so much Kuhler than any other on the market. Fits close to the body with great lines. Fabric is amazing mix somewhere between fleece and wool. Highly recommended!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits well and looks good (and keeps you warm) I find most clothes are built for folks with a larger waistline and they tend to be baggy on me. This is athletic cut and it fits well looks good and keeps me warm. I get lots of compliments on it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Okay Jacket A few weeks ago I purchased the Kuhl Intercepter jacket. The jacket is okay but not what I wanted - a Mountain Hardware Monkey Man - but REI no longer carries MH in their retail stores, so in a bind I bought the Kuhl. The jacket is fine but I have to find a retailer that carriers MH. Goodby REI.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Incredible jacket; the WORST zipper experience I have been meaning to write this review for a long time and I am glad that I am taking the time to do it now since a previous review that warns against the zippers has been deleted. Thus, allow me to reiterate the warnings that we received a year ago: the zippers on this fleece are HORRIBLE. I carry a lot of stuff on me and needed a new fleece that had 2 hand pockets, a breast pocket and 2 inside pockets to hold field guides, insulated coffee mugs, etc. Although the Interceptr does not have internal pockets, the 2 hand pockets are HUGE. I can fit an entire coffee mug AND a field guide in one pocket. So, it met my criteria for a fleece. Then came the fit: this thing fits my thin/athletic frame like a glove. It is incredible. The fit and feel is divine. The only problem with this garment is that once you zip up the pockets while you are wearing it, it is close to impossible to unzip them. Therefore, it renders the 4 cavernous pockets virtually useless. If it fits you as well as it fits me then what will happen is that when you pull down on the zipper pull it will bunch up and get caught in the material. I literally have to take the jacket off and then use 2 hands to jimmy it open to get my wallet out. Good thing I was never pulled over while driving with my wallet in the breast pocket. So why did I buy it if I knew that this would happen (I tried on 3 of the same size at REI after I read the negative reviews and they all bunched up)? I suspected that if I lined the area around the zipper with fabric repair tape then it would not get bunched up. This has worked for the most part and now it is just a question of how long the repair tape will hold up after multiple washings. If you are not a do-it-yourself kind of person then this is not the jacket for you. HOWEVER, if you are the kind of person who never uses pockets and your body type is like mine then this IS the jacket for you since the fit is perfect. I will mention, however, that the thumbholes are a complete waste of time since my arms are too long to fit my thumbs back in the slot (and they are not necessary since the sleeves are long and stay in place).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Possibly my favorite piece of clothing This fleece jacket is my fur - it’s an extension of my body. It fits better and works better than any other fleece jacket I’ve tried. The sleeves are just long enough for my long-ish arms, and having four pockets is the best. If I lost mine, I’d replace it in a heartbeat.
