My favorite for Crossfit and casual wear
I bought these about a month ago when I was looking for another pair of shorts for my Crossfit WODS. These shorts are perfect. They allow good mobility, but the legs stay in place when I am inverted; They are quick-drying; They pack small for my gym bag; and they look great. I even wear them casually as much as I do for Crossfit. The only drawback I can think of after a month of use is the price. If you find the price agreeable, the I highly recommended you give the Vuori Banks Shorts a try. I'll probably try another Vuori short soon.
Good marketing, below average product
I was looking for a do-it-all short for some upcoming summer travel and I was excited when I came across the Banks. I've had them for a couple months now and think they're okay but they don't live up to the hype. So far I've used them for swimming, biking, hiking, paddle boarding, running, walking the dog and just around the house. I've washed them maybe 10 times and they're already starting to fray a bit along the seams and I've had a few loose threads and runs on the fabric itself. As far as fit goes, the medium fit me well at the waist but I found the legs to be a little on the baggy side for my liking. Overall I don't think these live up to the hype. The company does a good job of marketing these as versatile, durable shorts that perform well under a variety of coniditions. So what? I've picked up sub $30 shorts at big box retailers that can do all that and so far have held up better than these.
Solid shorts
Great for any outdoor activity or just running around town. Nice tailored look
Instant Favorite
I just got these short yesterday, and so far I've worn them to bed, worn them kayaking and worn them on a 6 mile run. THEY. ARE. AMAZING. I'm order a second pair today. Fit is great, they feel fantastic, and I love the abundance of pockets.
high price for great shorts
If you're a little like me and you have a fair number of cheap shorts, know that you can get replacements for those in the teens, but want something better - these are really good shorts. Nothing really super special about them other than they seem really well made and have some interesting patterns. I got mine on a discount that still made them about the most expensive sport shorts that I own. I like them, they make good tennis shorts which justifies the expense some. Wish I could afford to have more. Note that the sizing chart on REI is spot on. The Vuori site chart seemed to indicate a L was a better fit for me, but M worked perfect. In cheap shorts, often a M is a little snug. p.s. the Tahiti Tidal Stripe color is much more teal than straight blue like the picture
Awesome Amphibious Shorts!
I love telling my friends about my new "amphibious shorts". Quick drying, stretchy, comfortable, lightweight. I've always wanted a "board shorts" type of bathing suit, but never fit into board shorts, as they are too narrow for my body. These fit me great and can be used as a bathing suit or shorts. I love that they stretch as I can use them for bicycling, swimming, rock climbing, hiking, etc.
great all around shorts
bought these for a trip to Bend, OR and they covered all the bases. super comfortable, quick drying, i put them to work in the pool, trail running, white rafting, and just hanging out, and they were up to the task 100%. great pockets - two with zippers for small stuff, and two larger main pockets that were all totally functional / efficient. a little pricey but totally worth the extra cash. i'm actually wearing them as i type this ;)
Greatest. Shorts. Ever
Very very comfortable. Not too short, not too long. Pockets actually hold items and dont fall out while moving in and out of seats. I'm 5'11, 183 and wear a M. Have the perfect amount of stretch to them. I might get another pair and just be set for a long time. Use them for gym and casual around the house wear.
Needs tall sizes
I bought a pair of banks short. PRO: 1) comfy 2) nice material 3) zip pockets CONS: front zip pocket on right side. Most people will put a phone in the main pocket. This leaves things lop sided when you add a key to the zip pocket. Add two zip pockets in front or move to left. Also, how about tall sizes. I'm 6'4" the large could use being 2 inches longer.
Great outdoor shorts
These have become my go to for the summer. Great for kayaking and fishing since they dry out quickly, but aren't traditional swim trunks
