Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome boot I love these boots. I tried on four other boots and they all had this feeling of " encasement" I had fears of pressure points and eventually blisters or hot spots. Just cant go onto a trail worrying or second guessing my feet. I saw these in the store and thought give them a try. The fit very well in a 1/2 size larger with hiking socks. The is no encased feeling just one of soft comfort all around. There is a learners moment on steps the first day for your mind "setting" to the curved bottom. Walking in them is effortless. I plan on getting them on the STS trail in Pennsylvania at the end of the month for a workout on the hills. Buy them,, Do IT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Comfy I bought these boots for my trip to Glacier National Park. They were comfy and didn't give me any blisters. I definitely recommend these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would buy this again Needed a pair of boots for a three day trek in New Zealand, and I don't hike. There wasn't going to be much time to break a boot in either, risky. I am familiar with Hoka and have pair I wear at work. A salesperson at REI pointed these Hoka hiking boots out to me and I thought they felt great on so I bought them for the trip. They performed awesome and felt great the entire trek, not one blister or sore spot, nothing. Water/mud proof, a great hiking boot.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Much Different Fit that Tor Summit Mid Boot I recently purchased these as a replacement for my Hoka Tor Summit Mid Boots upon the request of a store associate who stated that these were the newer version of the Tor Summit Mid boot (implying they were a replacement model). I have worn them about 6 times so far (roughly 30 miles), and those have been all paved or treadmill. These are significantly more rigid in the ankle than the Tor Summit model boots. I wouldn't say they are uncomfortable, but they certainly require some break-in and are not nearly as comfortable as the Tor Summit Mid boot. On the plus side, the toe box seems to be a bit wider on this boot and I like that the boot laces all the way up without the hooks at the top of the ankle of the boot. The jury is still out on these boots and how much I will wear them, but if it is any indication, I have already purchased another pair of the Tor Summit Mid boots for my upcoming 6 day backpacking trip.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from retains to much moisture in boot I purchased this in hope I would be taking on my through hike of the Appalachian Trail next year. It was a super light boot and I thought it would work great. While taking a short six mile pre hike on easy up and down hills, I started feeling a blister forming. Once I took the boot off there was a great deal of moisture inside. This is not the boot I want to take with me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome boots Really liked how the boots looked and reviews were very positive. The brand was unfamiliar to me, so purchased through REI as I knew I could return them if I had issues. The boots are true to size. Great quality. Very light in weight. Very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A shoe for many occasions :D I bought these after an REI salesman recommended the Hoka One One brand to me while I was looking at shoes. He said "they're like marshmallows on your feet" and he was right. Since buying them, I've been using them on the trail and off (they're that comfortable and versatile). They're very light and the waterproof feature is pretty handy on some days. I wore them in the city this past weekend in Seattle and I didn't even notice how much walking I had done (your feet will appreciate these shoes).
