Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looked good, but was NOT I wanted a 3 liter pot for soups etc., and this was the only single 3 liter stainless pot I could find anywhere. So here is my lengthy review. I liked how the handle looked, but it is not functional. I have never needed to hang my pot over a campfire to cook, I always use a camp stove. So here are the problems I found with the handle. First of all it gets hot, so if you don't have a glove or towel it hurts. Second, the handle, that is hot, is the only way to hold the pot on your camp stove while stirring, but you can not stir very well because the hot, awkward handle is in the way. The handle does lock into an upright position, but not in a down position. I can see that being a problem while trying to sue the strainer. The pot itself was functional, but very thin and it did not disperse heat evenly at all. The pot got scorched on its first use. The lid also looked good to me, and fit well in the store. But after its first use, the lid would not fit snugly at all. It seemed to warp and it became springy, popping out of its seated position immediately after it was seated. The strainer was a nice feature, but I did not use it before returning this pot. However, I did realize that you would need gloves or potholders to utilize the strainer without getting burned because there is no way to hold this pot and strain boiling water from it otherwise. I think GSI makes a pot with silicone thumb pads on the lid and locking silicone coated handles on each side. This pot has nothing like that. I wanted a stainless 3 liter pot, so I returned this one and bought the always faithful MSR stainless set. I have used those pots before, and they are great.
