Seems fine enough for a cheap machete. Carrying bag/case seems a little flimsy and doesn't have a way to lock-in the machete. My biggest gripe is that the large part of the blade that came packaged with a rubber-ish protective strip seems to have stored moisture; once removed, it revealed a bunch of rust/mildew spots all along the blade edge.
The blade was rusty, otherwise pretty good for the price. Rei is giving me a refund for the machete so i would buy, it seems like if it came the way it was supposed to it would be really cool and helpful.
Kinda bought it as a joke when I deployed to Afghanistan during oef 4. Weapon jammed. This thing saved my life.
