I ride in a suburban area on the road (shoulder) quite a lot. I like to be able to see traffic behind me without turning my head. This mirror gives me a great view of my left arm! That said, it is easy to install and adjust (it does NOT come with the necessary Allen wrench). I can just momentarily move my arm out of the way to see traffic, but it does not work as well as the Blackburn mirror on my road bike. I needed this type of mirror for my mountain bike because of where and how it is stored in the garage. In my case a handlebar-end mirror would not work.
