Arc'teryx  Atom Insulated Vest - Women's

I bought this for a trip to Iceland is a layering piece and it was absolutely perfect. It was the one item I wore virtually every day. Surprisingly warm for how light it is and a perfect layering piece. Based on previous reviews, I was concerned that my regular Small would be too big, but it actually worked out great because I could have three layers easily under it if needed. I know another reviewer or more has commented about the collar being weird, but I thought it was fine. Would definitely recommend!

[Employee of arcteryx] I held off on purchasing an Atom Vest simply because I have every other type of Atom (SL, LT, AR, Shacket...). I'd been xc skiing in a Thorium Vest which was great but by the end I'd get so sweaty that the vest would be wet by the end of it. It's not only proven successful for xc skiing, but also hiking/walking in the rain where I want to be warm but not sweating underneath a GORE-TEX shell. I bought my usual size (medium) and it's a perfect fit. It's so comfortable, hugging you in a warm embrace. So great for layering - I'm a believer! Buy it!

I have the Atom SL, which I love. This is similar, the collar is again a comfortable height (not the tall the previous Atom had). The material is slightly stiffer, and maybe a bit heavier than the SL. The pockets are now lined with fleece. The main change is the cut. I usually wear a M, but the small fits like the M in the SL model. I could wear either, but wanted the vest to be trimmer fitting. Length is also great, I am 5’2”, 125 pounds.

I am wavering between 3 and 4 stars. I love having a light weight but warm vest. However - this is now a bulkier vest than my previous one and the sizing has changed - my previous vest was a large and I have had to re order it as a medium. Also the collar is no longer fleece lined and that is very unfortunate.... Please return to the fleece lined collar!

I wear vests with long sleeves all the time and this vest is perfect for my needs. Keeps me surprisingly warm enough, considering it feels pretty thin, but it's still very breathable as the Atom design is. Super simple but easy to wear all the time whether I'm going to work, going outdoors and using it as a layering piece, or exercising.

I love this best. At first, I was unsure because of the high price point, but it fit me so well that I went for it. I am usually a regular medium, and the medium fit me perfectly. It’s definitely not too loose, is probably more on the smaller size of a medium. I would not be able to layer too much under it, but that’s OK.

Thrilled to receive my new Atom “revised” Vest. The collar is the same size as my old vest from several years ago👏🏻. I did size down to XS from Small based on previous reviews. The material seems to be the same as the older model as well. Kudos for bringing back the smaller collar

I purchased this vest after I read a mountain guide's layering system suggestions. I am really glad I did. It's not bulky like a lot of other styles and it works perfectly under my Atom Hoody jacket. I also wear it alone as a springtime layer.

Went to the store in Toronto they didn’t have my size so I ordered it in the store and it came fast to the house. I am using it as an underneath layering right now & it keeps me very warm. Love it.

Comfortable, loose fit but not too baggy Good amount of insulation for a layering piece but also to be worn with a long sleeve underneath as the top layer. Great all around piece. Love it.
