Integrated ground cloth allows water to run off rain fly onto tent wall then to ground cloth and under tent on all 4 corners. Design flaw. Middle of rainfly has side guy rope that mostly covers the ground cloth but wind will drive water to topside of the uncovered ground cloth edge Ground cloth should be slightly smaller footprint in order for water off sides of tent to land on ground or the rain fly should be bigger. Could use tent without ground cloth to solve issue, however other items like very tight stuff sack, rain fly without small pole for entrance peak allows water on top of fly to go into open mesh door of tent to floor when opening fly. I am 6’1” difficult to reach out of tent and grasp zipper edge of rainflyndchallending to crouch in small vestibule. Could open top zipper of rain fly and experience water / dew into tent described previously taller tent or shorter rain fly or both. This tent is very well made. Easily fits both my partner and I and our large breed pup. Have only car camped with it but It’s light and will pack easily between our two packs for sure.
I used it for the first time this past weekend. (Basically car camping with a Scout Troop). As a one person tent it was great. 3 people would be pretty tight. It was easy to put up and take down. It rained one of the nights and I stayed dry. I liked the light hook in the center of the ceiling and the mesh gear pockets in the corners. So far so good. The tent seems pretty well constructed. If it continues to perform I would call it a very good value.
