Good for quick access to small camera
I'm using this for quick access to a small point-and-shoot camera while hiking. It replaces an Osprey add-on that developed a broken zipper and is no longer available. It works well. The attachment mechanism is a little awkward but on the whole not more awkward than that of the previous unit.
Also holds 1 pint water bottle
Convenient zippered pockets can attach to a backpacking packs or day pack (or even to some pants belts). Useful for carrying and protecting a cell phone; or a handheld GPS; or a 1 pint water bottle. Keeps frequently used item(s) close at hand.
Great phone case
I have had one of these for a couple of years and it's the perfect case for keeping my phone safe and easy to access while hiking. My wife liked it so much we bought this one for her.
