I really wanted to like these because the limited-edition color and strap is great, but I found them unusually difficult to look through. Even after carefully adjusting the width and focus, the two circular viewing areas never seemed to overlap perfectly, so the black edges stayed noticeable and made the image feel unstable. Raising the eyecups one click helped with glasses but the FOV felt way too small with glasses. Without glasses the eyecups did not extend far enough to keep my eyes at a comfortable to distance. The eyecups also felt too small in diameter to be comfortable. The smaller viewing window also made the black border much more prominent, and I noticed considerably more glare. By comparison, the Nikon Prostaff P7 8x30 felt immediately more comfortable, with a wider, cleaner, glare-less view and less distracting edges. The Nocs may fit other people better, but the eye placement and eyecup design did not work for me. Also, the general in-hand feel felt strange. The material for the skin of the binoculars felt quite stiff/dry and a lot less grippy than the Nikons.
I order these last week at my local REI. I just received them and sadly, the right side of the binocular came dented and stained with a large brown stain in a ring around the eye area. Not sure if I will try to reorder these as I am scared tof the quality - I do have a trip scheduled in less than a month and am worried that I may run into the same issues.
