Columbia  Whistler Peak Shell Jacket - Men's

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are major flaws with this jacket. First of all, I purchased color black, but what I got was a super dark gray. The fabric is prone to wrinkles and no matter how long you hang it upright, they won't go away. And according to the care label, it's a "no iron" fabric. There are no external or internal media pockets. Not even a single drop in pocket! It doesn't have a two-way front zipper or dual underarm zippers (only a single underarm zipper), so don't let the false description fool you. It's more expected from Titanium line, but this jacket really disappointed me. The new model has a two-way front zipper, but underarm zipper are eliminated.

Great abrasion resistant features. Breathes well and doesn't get too sticky on the inside in high humidity. Rode for 20 miles in the rain on my bicycle in this jacket and stayed dry the entire time even with the pit zips all the way open. The one downside is the zippers are a bit hard to use on the fly and require you to be gentle enough not to unzip them too far. One of my pocket zippers popped off once. However it looks like this issue was already resolved with a more durable zipper in the latest iteration. Amazing rain shell overall!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a 3X female and went with the 2XL and it’s perfect with still room for a light sweater for chilly days. As a dog walker who walks in down pours this shell keeps me COMPLETELY DRY!!! I do wish I could adjust the neck width to make it tighter but I still give it five stars because the OutDry technology beats anything on the market. Hands down. I’ll never buy anything else!!

Have not tested in rainy conditions yet but stood in the shower for almost 5 mins with no wetting out. Very impressed and definitely value for money. Compared to other well known brands, this would easily be a 400 jacket.

It’s new technology to keep water out but be breathable too is as advertised. Love the look of the jacket seams too. Gives it that edgy look. I’ve purchased many items from Columbia in the past and have never been let down!

Works as intended, keeps me dry and happy. I haven’t used it in very rainy and wet conditions yet but so far it works well.
