Want to love these, but..
Want to love these seemingly good bargain socks, but, uh, meh. Thought they would be good for shorter runs and casual wear, but they are wearing out quickly and tend to bunch up. The are excellent for days I wear my sneakers to work or for around the house --but not a great choice for long runs.
Good cushion - sizing runs long
They have good cushion but run long. I bought size Medium (which was my size according to their chart and what I usually wear in socks - I'm a shoe size 8 1/2) but straight out of the package they looked long. They were okay during my run, but I sense they might start to bunch up over time. If I had looked at them out of the package first, I probably would have bought a small or a different brand altogether. Only grabbed them as an impulse buy because they were on sale.
Good cushion
These socks have a nice cushion and my feet feel dry after a long run. My only gripe is that I’m a size 7 so I’m on the low range of one of the sizes. I will size down next time - there’s extra fabric in my heel area even after these have been through the wash.
Soft, attractive -ok
I bought these because I liked how they looked. I should have paid more attention to the material. While they are soft and nice looking, I have become accustomed to wool socks. In comparison, these socks make my feet feel moist, which I don't like. I'm keeping them and hoping I like them better when it's not hot out.
Runs small
Mine shrunk after washing. Taking them back for the next size up.
Garbage socks
These socks only have a tight/performance fit (like Feetures/Balega) for one use. After that they stretch just like cheap walmart socks. Honestly Costco has better socks than this and you get 6 pairs for $12. These are a waste of money.
REI Co-op Swiftland Running socks Size Small
REI Co-op Swiftland Running socks are awesome. Comfy and just the right amount of cushion makes them look and feel great in my running shoes. Size Small is very hard to find so I’m thankful that they are available at REI.
Run Big & Miss the Mark
Pros: soft, comfy and wash up super well. Cons: These don’t stand up to the competition. They run much bigger than the sizing suggests for women. Because of the sizing issue they move around a ton while running and walking.
Great cushion but great slip
Husband is happy for the cushion in these but it also seems these can be slippery if not worn in a shoe. Caution when wearing on tile or hardwood as slips may occur. These socks do launder great and hold up to many cycles.
