Big Agnes  Bearsley Down Jacket - Women's

Look this is a great jacket, and I'd love to keep it because it checks literally every box for an ultralight puffy that I've been hunting for, but for some reason the cut on the small seems to assume that women's arms are sticks. The body fits well (honestly kind of too roomy at the hip even, though at least it can be cinched), but the arms are just uncomfortable with even the thinnest underlayer. Patagonia does this too, I'm out here BEGGING companies to allow women to have arms. I bought a men's XS to try and I'd be keeping that one because the arms are the perfect size, except the hip is too small. It's so, so close to a home run for me but it just misses the mark :(

Love this jacket. It is lightweight, very packable (fits easy in backpacks) and most importantly it provides the warmth I need without the bulk. Mainly got it for hiking and commuter biking and was very pleasantly surprised how well it keeps me warm in frigid temperatures despite its light construction. I agree with some of the reviewers that the material is translucent so you can faintly see the down/filling material but it's not a dealbreaker for me. For reference, I got the nasturtium color (the color is bright which is great for biking so I can be seen for drivers passing me), 5'10", 145lbs, athletic built and the size M fits perfect, allows for layering. Very good product.

Since getting this super light jacket I've pretty much retired my older bulky down jacket. The 800 fill down is incredibly warm for its weight; it's nice to have an insulated jacket you barely notice you're wearing when you're active. It goes with me on all my bikepacking and backpacking adventures, as well as being such a good looking jacket it's my go-to to wear around town. I like it so much I have it in two colours!

Got this jacket a few weeks ago, I haven’t taken it in the backcountry yet but I love it for day hikes! So lightweight, so comfortable, and a great color (I have the orange- ish) Definitely extremely warm for the weight. I have had many a big Agnes sleeping bag and tent, and always had a good experience so I am glad to have finally tried the jacket! I look forward to lightening my load on backpacking trips.

Living in the mountains, having a down jacket that is lightweight and holds warmth is essential. This is my everyday go-to puffy jacket - whether I'm out in the backcountry or walking my dog on the trails. I've used it winter camping, backcountry skiing, and conveniently as a pillow while camping and traveling - it stuffs into one of the pockets and can be zipped shut.

A great, everyday jacket for running around town. Looks great, very warm, lightweight so easy to layer on and off. Also a great jacket to take as a layer when doing an active outdoor sport like XC skiing. Put it on at the shelter when taking a break to keep from cooling off as your sweat dries! Packs down so small and light!

Super warm! I brought backpacking--it packed down well and kept me warm (with a merino wool base layer) in ~30F conditions. I sized up to a large to accomodate layers underneath, and I like the fit a lot. The hood is a little large and awkward, with no mechanism to tighten or cinch down.

Haven't been able to get on a long trip with this one, but loving the lightweight and compactibility. Perfect for walking the dogs, walking to work, and hopefully getting out on the trail soon.

The perfect layer - I wear it September to May, and then pack it for backpacking trips in the summer. This new color is getting comments from everyone.

Returned this jacket. While I loved the color, I did not love the transparency of the material.
