Big Agnes  Mica Basin Camp Chair

I like this chair a lot, I don't love it, but it works well. I have many lightweight camping chairs from REI, Helinox, etc. However, every single one that I own is breathable. This chair does not feel breathable; it's not a deal breaker for me, but buyers beware of the material. I bought the Blue/gray, which, in the pictures, looks like the gray fabric is breathable. It is not; it's almost like a gortex feel. Other than that, it is easy to assemble; one of the black endpoints (caps) keeps coming off when I break down the chair, but it's not a big deal for the price. Would I recommend it to a friend or a family member? Yes, I would.

This chair doesn't pack down super small, so for bike packing or hiking, it'll take up a long amount of space (I also have a Skyline UL chair, its is amazing for bike camping. But otherwise, it is fantastic. Sets up in a flash, super easy to use easy to clean. For its size, it is very light. If space isn't an issue, having a chair with a back is fantastic after a long day, or just for hanging out. It does sit you a little low, so if you have an issue getting up from chairs, that COULD be a problem (not in my personal experience, though). The back doesn't come very far up, but it has always been plenty comfortable.

I've used this chair several times and love it. My wife and I each have one and, every time we go hiking or camping, it comes along and the kids always fight over it. We just took it on a 21 mile overnight backpacking trip where we were worried about any extra weight and we didn't even consider leaving this behind. The others with us all had sit pads and they said that they were definitely getting chairs when we got home.

Super strong, comfortable and packable camp chair. Weighs in at 2lbs, including case, and I take it backpacking‚Ķwell worth the extra weight. This chair is great for relaxing at a campsite after a long day of backpacking. No plastic hubs or wimpy poles to worry about breaking. I'm 6'-2“, 230 lbs and this chair holds me with ease. Just get one‚Ķyou won't regret it!

I've tried a half dozen of the top end ultralight chairs and the Mica Basin is the most natural feeling and comfortable of them all. The Skyline UL may be a little lighter, but if you value comfort, the deeper slung seat and taller back of the Mica Basin are worth the weight penalty.

I've used this product backpacking, car camping, motorcycle camping, and for general outdoor use. It's a fantastic little chair. One of the most comfortable in its class when compared to other brands. It feels very stable and doesn't pinch your hips.

This chair is light, easy to put together, easy to pack up, and very cozy for camping or fishing. Mine goes with me everywhere and even has been a nap spot for my baby!

So light and easy to use. I wasn't sure if I needed to upgrade from my heavy old REI chairs and I don't regret it in the least

Very comfortable, quick to setup and lightweight and durable. Self levelling system makes it easy to sit on rocky beaches.
