These were going to be my favorite pants. I bought 2 pairs because my hopes were so high! Right out of the packaging I was amazed at how well they fit, the light but stretchy material, and the pockets. I have gone rock climbing in these pants twice for each pair. The first pair has pilling on the butt where the back straps of my harness were moving along the fabric. My second pair has a hope ripped in the inner leg (which I have already sent a claim to MH for a repair) but also has pilling in the front crotch area from where my harness had rubbed. I bought a 3rd pair of the full length pants to use for hiking and I am so worried about the inner thigh pilling I will experience after wearing them and hiking. My pants look like they’ve been used for years and they’ve only been worn twice. Please please use better fabric, more durable. Mountain Hardware clothing should stand up to hard wear, not be this delicate!
I own 3 pairs of Dynama High Waist Ankle Pants and 1 pair of regular Dynama Ankle Pants and i love them to bits. So you can imagine my excitement when I saw there were new colors out in 2025 to add to my collection. I was at first a little confused and then pretty much disheartened when I realized the newer cut (includes the color Warm Ash) was so much larger in the thigh, cut rather too high in the waist so now it sits a couple inches even higher and is longer in the seam. However the waist and calf size is still the same so it's not like i can size down. Disappointed because I want to keep buying the new shades but I do not trust the fit at all anymore.
I bought this style in the grey/slate and liked them so much I ordered them in black. Unfortunately the black was sized totally differently. When you lined them up, the thigh area was about 2” WIDER in the black pair! This is an insane difference. The black pair fit very baggy and unflattering. I ordered these within a few weeks of each other, so not different seasons or styles. I was super disappointed.
I bought these pants to use as sun protection while I instruct Lifeguard courses and work on the pool deck. I also use them for travel and casual hiking. I love how flattering and professional they look, while being comfortable and easy to wear. Bonus that they aren't too warm in 90 degree weather and repel water! I recommend considering sizing down for a tighter fit after a few washes and lots of use. However, I just ordered a second pair in my true size because I enjoy the relaxed fit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for versatile sun protective pants.
This is my second pair of these pants, and they are just as advertised. I am a short person, so they fit like long pants for me. I appreciate how light they are (I am taking 2 pairs traveling to hot climates), that they have zippered pockets, and that you don't need a belt to wear them. We older women appreciate the high rise as our non-flat bellies don't hang over the waist! I've washed them a bunch and they still look like new. I wouldn't say they are versatile enough to wear for evening, but that's the only drawback. I wish they had more blue in stock.
I have every color in these pants and they are my favorite pants for casual everyday, travel, and hiking. I am short-waisted, 5'4" height, and the Dynama High Rise Ankle pant is a great length for me-not as an ankle pant, but as a regular pant length. Perfect! The front pockets are useful (phone fits), are a flattering design for me (the pockets don't bulge out), plus they have zippers. These are my "go-to" pants! I usually wear a size medium in pants, but I wear a size small in these pants. Very comfortable.
I really like these-- super comfy pants thst fit well even for a curvier body. I love my jogger sweats but you can't dress them up. These are really versatile- you can wear them with sneakers for a hike, or dress them up for work, with cute boots and a nice top. I only wish the fabric was a bit thicker. I've only washed and worn them a couple of times (still good), but I can't imagine them having much longevity.
Fabric and style fantastic until you wash them a couple of times( on cold and no dryer) , as they loose there shape and stretch. I've had two pairs as I thought my puting them in the dryer ruined my first pair. So I bought a second pair because I love the style and fit ( not to " I'm going hiking" kind of look) , but the same problem of loosing there stretch also occured after a few washes.
I have been buying these pants for years and they have been my go-to for hiking, about-town etc. I have a more straight-up and -down body type and loved the high rise and narrow-hip silhouette which also fell at a perfect length. Apparently the fit was completely changed about a year ago, and with the new pants, I look like I'm wearing jodhpurs, huge in the hips, seat and thighs. Big fail.
Living in Arizona, I need lightweight. This fabric is perfect. I'm 5'3", so the ankle length is also a winner. Most importantly, as a 60 year old, I have become a bit of an apple. Most pants that fit me in the legs and hips are uncomfortably snug at the waist. Not these. The high-rise, wide band elastic waist is comfortable and muffin-top free. The colors are interesting too.
