Very comfortable pad

We have definitely become fans of the BA self inflating pads for car camping. I bought this one for use in the back of my Bronco and it fits perfectly in the 4-door. It also fits our 2-person tent for trips where a tent is required. The first inflation took days for the foam to fully expand. I keep this fully inflated for storage and roll up when I'm packing the truck. It inflates to a comfortable volume in about 10 minutes. If time is short I blow air in. Like other self-inflating pads, rolling up tight takes some effort but ease of use and comfort makes it worth it. The Velcro straps and storage bag are great. Photo with Camp Robber Bedroll.

I almost prefer it to my normal bed

Im a little weird that I don't really like to sleep in the same place for long stretches of time, even at home. So I set this up in my living room at some point and just change where in the house I go to sleep on occasion. All in all Ive slept on it maybe thirty nights, having bought it 2 to 3 months from the time of this review. True to its title this thing is comfortable. I sometimes prefer it to my standalone bed although It is a little short for me despite being only 5ft 10in or 178cm. So to future buys who are taller or just as tall as me probably go for the longer one? Other wise super sick bed. For reference I got the 41X72.

Super comfy

Love this pad, super comfy. I was concerned about some reviews I'd seen about the pad not inflating all the way or only one side inflating. Full disclosure I did have this issue. All I had to do was let in inflate as much as it would, close the valves, and then rolled it lengthwise (hot dog style). This forced the other side to inflate and once I opened the valves again it inflated all the way. After doing that it inflates just as advertised. I will say that to get it as firm as I like it I had to leave just the orange valve closed and manually blow air into it. It literally only took me about 15 seconds to get it super firm so don't let that deter you.

I will be buying another one soon for my wife!

Anytime you purchase an inflatable pad, the worry of possible pad noise is a concern. Not with this pad...I'm a side sleeping tossing and turning type sleeper and found zero noise! The soft material along with the memory foam keep this plush 5" thick pad quiet, warm and oh so cozy! I will be purchasing one for my wife now that I've tested it for car camping comfort. I bought this for camping in the back of my truck as I was currently using a tri-fold pad and wanted the ability to keep my gear on hand in the truck and still have room to use my truck when not camping. It's perfect...I'm ready for a siesta whenever and wherever! I've used this down to temps in the upper 30's with plenty of warmth still on my backside...looking forward to some colder fishing trips in the mountains!

Does not self inflate

This matress is very comfortable, however, dissapointing is the fact that no matter what i do... it will NOT self inflate. Personally i recommend this mat but i do believe it is mis advertised as self inflating. I have left it out for far beyond 24 hours with hope that it will some day inflate at all, but i have yet to see any result of inflation. I have bought a small pump to utilize, but I was pretty disappointing after how it is advertised. .When reaching out to the company, they said it needs to lay out longer, and well... sorry guys--- no matter how long i have left it out, i am yet to see any sign of inflation!

Very comfortable

This pad is very comfortable, but too heavy for anything other than base camp or car camping. It is “self-inflating”, but I have needed to add air to get some firmness. I think it is easier to get it to self inflate after it has been used a few times, but it was still too soft to sleep on. I ended up buying the inflate bag. Dinged it one star because I think this should have been included with the pad. I found it difficult to roll the pad after use. The carry bag seems adequate. This is a very comfortable pad, albeit a large and bulky one. Highly recommended for anything other than backpacking.

Most comfortable pad on the market

If car camping is your jam you can’t go wrong with this product. The mattress self-inflates fairly well once you roll it out and it just needs a little top off of air to fully inflate. I just did three nights camping in the mountains and slept like a baby. I do recommend topping it off with some air every couple nights for best comfort. Otherwise, 9/10 very satisfied with the easy of use and comfort. My only downsize is the packability once you take it out of the carry bag (good luck getting it back in there) and storage when it’s not in use (i keep mine semi inflated and store under a bed).

Comfy but bulky

I get a great night's sleep on this mattress/pad, even as a side sleeper. I've used it in friends homes and for car camping. The comfort and materials are great, but do note that it still requires a lot of air to inflate it the whole way and it's a royal pain to deflate and roll up. I'm 180lbs athletic build and I struggle with my body weight to compress it enough while rolling it for the straps to work and for it to fit in it's bag. Based on the product description I thought inflation and deflation would be much easier, but it is comfortable and overall what I was looking for. I have plenty of experience with air mattresses and backpacking sleeping pads, so you know where my opinion is coming from.

Perfect for car camping!

It's incredibly comfortable, especially for two adults and a small dog (to be specific here). The set up is super easy, even easier when paired with some sort of air pump. My partner did blow it up manually the first time we used it, a pump only made a quality of life improvement. The only gripe I have is the breakdown. There's a good chance I'm not doing it correctly, but it rolls up super bulky and storing it is somewhat cumbersome. I'm going to do more research on this, but for now that's the only reason I'm not giving it five stars. Again, probably absolutely operator error here.

I would definitely buy this again!

I have used this product camping in the back of my truck, and my tent, and snuggling in the living room with my senior dog- he's also using it as a larger doggy bed. This is the absolute most comfortable pad I have ever slept on. I don't know why I waited so long to make this front country upgrade.
