King Solomon Double Wide Sleeping Bag
I just received this so I’ve only had the opportunity to use it once camping. Overall I’m pleased with the quality and comfort of it however I do have some comments/heads up for future buyers - The bottom of the bag is a thin piece of fabric with no insulation or down fill so it’s insulating properties depend completely on your sleeping pad/mattress. At this price point it would have been nice if it were built like a single sleeping bag and had the added comfort and insulating value of down on the bottom. Maybe this was advertised somewhere but I don’t feel like the pictures or description highlighted this before I purchased it.
Seems like half a bag
I bought this bag to share with my kid on some rocky mountain hikes. I was surprised it doesn't have any filling on the underside of it, but after looking around, I realized most BA down bags don't have filling on the bottom anymore. It is designed to work with their sleeping pads, but we made it work with our foam pads. It was warm on some frosty nights and stuffs down small. We have a number of other (older) BA bags that we really like and I think that they are the best company for the quality of gear you get, but I was disappointed that it is so little bag for the price.
Small, light, and warm!
This thing is super light and packs super small for accommodation of two people. If you want more room if your bag, get two separate bags with the wide pads and zip them together. This one is made to be small and light for minimal backcountry gear.
Perfect for couples
We've had an older one for years. We love it, warm and compact and the new version is better in every way, lighter, smaller to pack and as warm or warmer, also downtek, our old one wasn't.
Double Cozy
Keeps us warm year round in the truck, on river trips, and backpacking. 4 years of regular use and going strong.
Used this for the first time winter camping. Temps were 6 degrees when we woke up but we were plenty warm!
