Big Agnes  Dream Island 20 Sleeping Bag - Double

Got this sleeping bag to pair with a double wide sleeping pad for a trip to the Washington Coast. It dropped down into the 40's at night and we were comfortable with minimal layers. The draft collar and individual pillow pockets were a nice touch, as were the straps to keep your pad underneath you. The only reason for 4 stars is that the description doesn't mention anything about the bottom of the sleeping bag being non insulated. It is basically a comforter zipped to a thick sheet on the bottom. This could be an issue for lower temps, or if your sleeping pad is not insulated. Kind of disappointing that Big Agnes doesn't mention that part anywhere. üòï Also, being a double-sized sleeping bag, it takes up quite a bit of space, even when using a compression sack. Not really an issue if you are car camping though.

Purchased this to use with our inflatable XL REI mattresses when car camping, and in the future with pads with different specs for canoe camping. The way the bag secures to pads is ingenious and worked like a charm even with 2 separate pads - no gap! Our 4 day tent camping trip in northern MI had a couple hot nights and one cold (40sF). The 2 of us found the bag roomy, comfortable, and adjustable to temp. The zippers are sturdy and don't trap the (really cozy) fabric, the pillow barn worked great, the hooded top added a touch of luxury, and it washed up well at home. Looking forward to using this again & again.

J'ai acheté ce sac pour un voyage aux Canaries avec mon conjoint qui voyageait pour la premi√®re fois en tente et sac â dos. En séparant la portion du bas de la portion supérieure(et avec un bon sac de compression) l'espace et le poids étaient relativement inférieur â transporter 2 sacs diff√®rents. Surtout qu'en montagne certaines nuit sont tr√®s fra√Æches. Le bonheur de se retrouver corps â corps apr√®s de longues journées de marché nous a conquis. Les 2 zips de chaque c√¥té nous permettent de contr√¥ler indépendamment la température et les sorties. Combiné avec un matelas double de Big Agnes, ce sac nous a permis de nous sentir m√™me mieux que dans une chambre d'auberge. Il nous manque juste la doublure double pour le protéger et l'utiliser pendant de nombreuses années â venir on l'esp√®re. Notre condo sur la route nous pla√Æt beaucoup.

This performs great. It kept me warm with plenty of room. Fits perfectly inside a two person tent. I was disappointed it has a bed sheet like material on the inside so the bottom of the bag is not like the top. This forces you to use the Big Agnes double wide sleeping pad since it is not a stand alone bag. Maybe it's my fault, but I wish I knew I had to have the pad to go with it, fortunately I bought it too.

This bag is so close to being perfect. left me and my partner warm during a roof top tent trip and had snowed 2 of the nights. only complaint is that the bottom has no insulation so you would need an insulated pad or mattress. would buy again and is very comfortable. for the price you cannot beat. would buy again just know the bottom is not insulated.

Love having the double sleeping bag - less to pack to go camping and way warmer/enjoyable. Plus a lot of great features to ensure a great night's sleep. Especially love the pillow pocket - solves so many problems I've had with other sleeping bags in the past.

I have been looking for a double sleeping pad that will attach well to my exped megamat duo. This sleeping bag fulfills that function. I love the pillow barn feature of this bag that keeps our pillows in place. What really stands out for me are the draft collars and tubes. I always struggled to stay warm in our previous teton evergreen double bag due to cold air always getting in, that is not the case with this bag. I can pull the top of the bag up to my neck just like I'm sleeping with a quilt. It is also very very roomy, especially in the footbox. My partner is a hot sleeper and does not like feeling constricted when he sleeps and he is very comfortable in this bag. My only nitpick is that I wish the lining of the bag was a bit softer, I found it to be slightly scratchy - hoping it will soften up a bit with use/washing. I will also say this is a car camping bag, it doesn't pack down small - if that's a concern I'd recommend going with the down king Solomon version instead. All in all a wonderful bag from a great company.

I'm new to matched accessory systems like this bag that require a pad underneath to work. But assuming you are always going to be using a pad, this method keeps things simple. No more bag sliding off the pad in the middle of the night!

The fabric on the interior of the bag is soooo comfy. It was super warm as well and perfect for the spring weather. Fit perfect on the Captain Comfort.

I used this bag snow camping in Mammoth Lakes and it was AMAZING. Super comfy and roomy for two of us, really easy to set up too. Highly recommend!
