Comfortable and versatile, great base layer.

Received free product

This thermal running hoodie is very comfortable and versatile. I took it on a backpacking trip up near Mt St Helens and it was perfect for later in the evening when the temperature started to drop and for an early morning hike in the chilly wind. The hood is tighter around your head so wind isnt blowing it off which is perfect. Its not too thick or thin so its a great layer to wear when youre warming up or cooling down. I will say the arms could be a little longer or more stretchy. If I didnt use the thumb holes, they tended to slide up my arms. The thumb holes add a good anchor to hold the sleeves down.

The perfect running/hiking layer

Received free product

Immediately after getting this product in the mail, I went on a hiking trip to the New River Gorge National Park, and this layer was absolutely perfect for the cool mornings on the trail! I wore it with bike shorts and that was the perfect combination. I love how lightweight it is, the zipper pocket, the hood, the thumbholes, and the beautiful color. I will be wearing this all fall and winter for all my trail runs and hikes!

A warm layer that will not add bulk.

Received free product

I just received this layer in August and while it’s still too warm to wear now, I can attest to the fact that it is a warm layer indeed! It will be great in winter when a thin but warm extra layer is needed. The pop of color is fun and this is easily thin enough to layer under a jacket without adding bulk. My only complaint is that I’d prefer it without the hood which is a bit ungainly around the neck. I think a plain crew neck would be perfect for a layering piece like this. The fabric is soft and comfortable and again, for such a thin layer of fabric it adds a good amount of insulation for days when the weather might change from cool to warm and it’s better to have layers to add or subtract. Once this layer is eliminated as things warm up it will be easy to stash in a daypack. The fit is true to size I ordered a large which is my normal size. The hem hits in the right place neither to short nor too long. Overall I’d recommend this if you don’t mind the hood and you want an extra layer for days when hikes or neighborhood walks.
