Purchased this hoodie and it fits and feels great. I'm horribly disappointed with the quality of it however. I wore the hoodie one time with my pack weighed down some for a walks and it is now pilling horribly in the areas on my shoulders and under the arms. For a garment this price, the performance is unacceptable. I have similar shirts for 5 years that have had zero issues. I am really disappointed with it as I was really excited when purchasing it. Would not recommend to anyone who does any serious outdoor activities.
I have plenty of echo hoodies, and wanted to try other options so bought astroman and activeice spectrum. The others fit great in XL. Astroman positives - I like the material, I don't find it noisy as other reviews have said, nice print, and the full zip is great, as are the zippered pockets. Negatives - fit is very different than the other sun hoodies. Arms are far too short, made worse by the awful elastic cuffs. Meanwhile the body has way too much volume - and I'm not skinny. Essentially unwearable for me. Too bad because if the fit was the same as the others I'd love it. I'd try again if they fix the fit, or make a long and/or slim version. Bonus if they lose the elastic cuffs. Echo and spectrum hoodies will continue to serve me well while I wait for a OR zippered option I can actually wear.
I've been wearing this top for a few months now, and it's been incredibly versatile. It's a great layer to throw on while hiking in the sun in order to get sun protection while staying cool. I've also used it as a layer to put on for my cooldown after running a race in cooler weather, when I'm starting to get cold in just a singlet.
Exactly what you want for a light weight fishing or packable UV jacket.
