A MUST

An absolute MUST for your hiking/camping/survival kit! Easy to use and excellent quality! Small enough to fit in your wallet, powerful enough to start a fire. Do yourself a favor and buy a set for you and maybe some for the people closest to you to have at least 1 on hand for an emergency.

Worked when everything was soaked (Amazon jungle)

Disclosure: I’m a co-founder of Wazoo. I'm not just the proud maker, but I am also a trusted user. I've started hundreds of fires all over the world with FireCards, but one of my favorite stories to tell is how we started our campfire with one of these in the Amazon Jungle on a survival course, when even our instructor was ready to resort to extreme measures. It had rained all day the before and morning of. Everything was soaked. Our Jungle Survival Instructor's plan to start our fire to cook our recently caught fish, was to use a plastic water jug and cigarette lighter. I asked if we could try the FireCard we were still R&D’ing at the time.To my honest surprise, it worked. While the burntime was just over 30 seconds, the FireCard burns so intensely that it was able to overcome the damp kindling and extreme humidity in the air. After the kindling ignited, it was just a matter of feeding the fire to grow into a full-fledged cooking campfire. That's when I knew we had a fire starter that was not only super compact and weatherproof, but more importantly, it could start a fire in the worst environments. ~Dust (Co-Founder, Wazoo) PS: We're just a tiny company with big dreams. Thanks for your interest in our little innovation, the FireCard.

The best fire starter that you can take anywhere!

These work great for starting a fire in any conditions. You can scrape off a bit to start a stubborn fire, or light the whole card in terrible weather. I’ve used a lighter and other times a ferro rod, and both worked instantly with the Fire Card. Plus, you can stash them wherever. I keep one in my pack and another in my wallet.

Truly a lifesaver!

These cards are amazing! I definitely recommend keeping several in your wallet. Stuff like this is absolutely invaluable for creating a nice buffer zone between having your full survival kit and having to go primitive. Everything I’ve owned from Wazoo is absolutely top notch quality!
