New Balance  SuperComp Elite v6 Road-Running Shoes - Men's

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I raced the New Balance Race Series 15K in the SC Elite v6 and achieved a new personal best of 1:11:33. The shoe felt incredibly fast, responsive, and comfortable throughout the race, giving me the confidence to push the pace from start to finish. This has quickly become my favorite New Balance racing shoe.

I've been using them 2-3 times a week on my prep for the NYC Marathon, always in long runs (25-40k) and speed sessions (15-20k). The ride is smooth, the upper is breathable, the toe box is really roomy and comfortable. Great shoe to have in my rotation for when training gets really serious. Happy with the upgrade from the v5. This being said, I think that it's not the fastest option in the market, Puma Fast R3, Saucony Endorphin, Adios Pro 4 and some other models may have a more aggressive approach and may lead to faster running. But overall this is a GREAT shoe, more than enough for me, for 99% of amateur athletes and the durability seems to be much much better than the other brands aggresive carbon plated racers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I noticed about the SuperComp Elite v6 was the evolution of the midsole, especially the distinctive shape around the outer edge of the forefoot. At first glance, it might look like a simple design change, but once you run in the shoe, its purpose becomes clear. With the Elite v5, I sometimes felt a slight amount of pressure around my fourth toe at toe-off. It was a small detail, but one that became increasingly noticeable as the race went on. With the Elite v6, that sensation is almost completely gone. By rounding off the outer corner of the toe box, the shoe allows the toes to spread more naturally, reducing the feeling of restriction during toe-off. It may only be a few millimeters, but those few millimeters can change the way you run. My toes feel more natural as they spread, make contact with the ground, and transition into toe-off. The whole sequence feels less interrupted. Perhaps because of this, accelerating, slowing down, and changing pace all feel remarkably smooth. While running, I found myself thinking, “Ah, now I understand why they shaped it this way.” I can only imagine how much testing and refinement went into creating such a small change. That kind of work never appears on a spec sheet, but you can feel it when you run. The Elite v5 felt like a shoe that was built to run fast and straight. The Elite v6 feels a little more relaxed. Rather than pushing you forward on its own, it seems to quietly follow the movement of your body. That natural feeling is what I really enjoy about it. The upper is also impressive. It is so thin that you can almost see the socks through it. At first, I wondered if it might be too thin. But running in Okinawa's heat and humidity quickly changed my mind. It keeps heat from building up, and even when I sweat, the shoe remains surprisingly breathable and comfortable. The thinness isn't simply about reducing weight. It helps me stay focused on running without feeling weighed down by heat and humidity. Living and running in Okinawa, I really appreciate that. The overall ride also feels more rounded and natural. It is easier to choose your line and carry speed into corners without feeling like you have to fight the shoe. The transition from landing to toe-off feels almost like one continuous line. The smoothness is more noticeable than I expected. The biggest difference, however, is the overall running feel. The Elite v5 had a satisfying sense of being propelled forward by its responsiveness. The Elite v6 takes that feeling a step further with the new Infinion Foam. It doesn't compress more than necessary, instead efficiently turning the force of each stride into forward momentum. The newly designed carbon plate then helps transfer that force smoothly and directly. Rather than feeling like the shoe is simply pushing you back up, it feels more like you are being carried forward. That is probably the best way I can describe the ride. My legs turn naturally and quickly, and maintaining a steady pace feels remarkably easy. The Elite v6 feels fast, but more importantly, it feels natural—and that combination is what makes it such an enjoyable racing shoe.

The new supercomp elite v6 is super light yet springy and comfortable at the same time. I first demoed it at a local run club pop up event and immediately bought it for my upcoming marathon in October. The SC Elite v6 has continued to perform great and feel comfortable throughout my long training runs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore the New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Elite v6 for the Sydney Marathon and absolutely loved them. From the moment I put them on, they felt incredibly light and responsive without sacrificing comfort. Over the full marathon distance, the cushioning really came into its own, particularly in the second half when my legs were starting to feel the distance. The energy return is excellent and the carbon plate gives you that extra pop when you’re trying to maintain pace, but they never felt overly aggressive or unstable. I also found them surprisingly comfortable for such a performance-focused shoe, with no issues with my feet even after 42.2km. The Sydney Marathon course has a bit of everything, and I felt like the SuperComp Elite v6 handled the different surfaces and changes in pace really well. They gave me the confidence to push when I needed to and still felt great late in the race. For me, these are a genuine marathon-day shoe. If you’re looking for something lightweight, fast, well-cushioned and comfortable enough to race a full marathon in, I’d highly recommend giving the SuperComp Elite v6 a go.

These shoes are super comfortable and the best running shoes I’ve worn. The only down fall is that I’ve only had them for 4-5 weeks and the bottom is already breaking apart.

The ride on these feel bouncy, comfortable and more responsive than the previous iteration, solid traction running in the rain. The fit feels true to size, although the toe feels a bit narrow than previous version.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first carbon plated shoe ever. Amazing experience!! The shoe size was a men’s size 10. Felt true to size. The mid foot hugged comfortably and the toebox felt open and had enough wiggle toe room. The bounce felt great. The cushion felt soft and light. Highly recommended!
