Extremely disappointed,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never had issues with any of the Adidas shoes I have bought in past until this purchase. The shoes look great. Although I broke in the shoes before using them for runs (3 to 13.5 miles), the issues that I have encountered are that both shoes rolls to the left, even more with the right foot to the point where it feels like my heel lands 50% on the padding and 50% on the side of the shoe and cushioning is minimal to say the least. Despite breaking them in on long walks the result of the first runs has been severely swollen knees. Extremely disappointed, to the point that I had to switch to Endorphin elite 2s and no problems since then.

Perfect session/long run shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been awhile since I ran in the Boston line, but I have found the EVO SL to be a little too mushy for faster efforts. I do prefer a slightly firmer ride, and these fit the bill for workouts and threshold sessions. They are by no means a harsh ride, but firm in the sense that the trend has gone to the overly mushy for all things running. While that is fine for a distance racer (the Adios Pro 4 is THE apex racer imo), for faster threshold workouts and repeats, a firmer, more planted/stable platform is needed for my gait (flat foot, mid/forefoot striker). These are so good I’m contemplating picking up a second pair. True to size in my typical Adidas/Adizero size (9.5 D).

Loved at FIrst... But Left Feeling Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do love almost everything about this product except 1 crucial element, the durability/longevity of the material used. I have owned these runners for a month now and have used them a good few times. However, under damp conditions I slipped which caused me to drag my left toe to stay upright. Unfortunately, this has now left my trainer with the sole pealing back either side of the black nose and the bottom half of sole. The black rubber nose remains damage free. Although designed/built for increased performance and speed, if it must forfeit the day-to-day stresses during the activity, it defeats their purpose and consequently means you will be replacing them a lot sooner than expected. I personally would recommend a different trainer, unless you can afford to replace them after each slip, trip or fall.

Responsive, sustainable and lightweight.

These are my first pair of Adidas running shoes ever. I got a pair from the Boston shoe line. As I heard they’re built for long-distance runs. From my experience with them for the last few months. They’re exactly meant for that. The shoes have nice cushioning and are responsive. The first thing you notice is that the shoes are very light. Despite being light, the shoes are incredibly durable. I have run over hundreds of miles in them, and they show no signs of wear and tear. I also used them to run in snowy or wet conditions, and they still perform well in them. The fit is slightly on the tighter side, but I still recommend ordering true to size. I would highly recommend them.

Lots of room for improvements

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unlike the other great Adidas running shoes I reviewed and recommended (mainly the Evo SL and Ultraboost) , I was disappointed with the Boston 13. The upper was terrible to lace up -- I still haven't found a good, sound lacing system. And the ride - the most important part of any shoe - seemed stiff and frankly just okay. I'm not sure what others are raving about, but I will stick to the Evo SL's and Ultraboost's ... unless those also go the way of the Boston 13's, i.e., mediocre ride and fit. On the plus side - the outsole with the Continental rubber - is highly durable, and the blue and green color is fantastic. I kept these shoes for these reasons, but mainly as a (expensive) walking shoe.

Couldn't believe how light they feel

Out of the box these feel like an Adidas shoe. Fairly light, durable sole; it was hard to understand the hype about these as a crossover for training and race day. I slipped them on and they had a familiar feel to the EVO SLs I picked up a few months ago. First impression was that they really nailed the balance between cushioned and road-feel. Once I finished my warm-up I understood the hype. Even though these feel fairly well cushioned, the springy energy return was unbelievable. It made the shoes feel weightless. 10/10 I will be running the Richmond marathon in these in a couple weeks.

length was fine (i.e standard to size). Too narrow

ok, there are narrow running shoes, and then there are these. ff you have a pretty normal width, these shoes will be too narrow for you. The description should note how narrow they are. I uploaded a picture to show how narrow they are compared to my current Adidas SolarGlide 6 runners. They are almost an inch more narrow.

Good, but unsure they're better than the Boston 12

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not sure that they're better than the Boston 12, but maybe they need a little more breaking in. I went through two pairs of Boston 12 (running a combined 1,600km in them!), and they were brilliant, so I hope these are just as good Weirdly, I needed half a size bigger compared to the Boston 12
