prAna  Sunday River Crewneck Sweater - Women's

I love PrAna. Their focus on recycling and eco commitments has really drove me to spend a lot of money with their also great products. This sweater is stretchy, surprisingly heavy, and very breathable with the knit texture. I chose the small as I wanted it to settle loose on my waist, and the sleeves to not be too long (bottom of wrist not top) it's a oversize look on your standard normal size, but you get flexibility to size up/down for your fit preference. I normally wear anywhere from S-L depending on fit. The knit weave means that ive been able to fix any snags thus far. For care, I would wash cold and dry on low heat. Due to the synthetic nature and feel of the fabric, hang drying or low heat will help to best preserve the fabric.

This sweater is a great design, comfy and I really wanted to keep it. But when I checked the tag, I realized it is 100% recycled polyester. Even though it is recycled, it is still 100% plastic. I am trying to reduce synthetic fabrics in my wardrobe to avoid microplastics against my skin, in the air, and in water from washing. For an expensive sweater from a brand focused on wellness and the planet, I expected a natural fabric like cotton or wool. Returning this, but hoping prAna takes note.
