[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the large size bear spray, effective to 40 feet, with carrier. I have not had the need to use the spray, but have carried them. This model comes with a sleeve so you can attach it to your pack waist belt, which I like. In comparison to other bear sprays I have carried, this sleeve does not have an additional closure on top, which may not leave it as secure on rock scrambles or larger leg steps, but does allow for quick deployment. I like the safety tab in the glow in the dark color. The shape of the trigger with the finger ring feels like a natural motion. This is a very large can which has pros and cons, I would choose this max size for areas with a high likelihood of grizzly bear encounters, for added security. My only wish is that this spray came with a water spray practice can as well, to train in the motion of firing and that it had a second secure closure on the sleeve. Overall, very happy.

Bears come right up to the back porch of my family's property, and they often cause damage to bird and squirrel feeders. We often worry they could cause even bigger problems. Last year we had a major problem with mountain lions, as they kept attacking our dogs. I was always concerned that I would come across one while I had my son, or at night time going from the car to the house. Having the bear and mountain lion spray helps put me at ease a little bit more. I like how the directions are straightforward, how far it sprays, and how quickly the can empties. I did receive this product, complementary in exchange for my honest review.

This gives me peace of mind. We have seen mountain lions on vacation as well, and now I can stay protected. I feel much safer with this. It has 2.0% Capsaicin & related Capsaicionoids. It sprays up to 40 feet to keep me safe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the smaller size of this product considering the fact that we don't often see large cats or bears when camping, fishing, etc. As such, I have not had the opportunity to actually use this product against a potential predator as of yet (I hope I never need to!). That being said, I did "test" the product to ensure functionality in terms of spray activation, etc. First, I love the belt holster that comes with this spray. It is elasticized to ensure it hugs the can securely so I don't feel as though it will accidentally fall out or get lost. Similarly, it has a plastic clip on the nozzle to ensure it cannot be sprayed unintentionally. Both great safety features! I like the curved handle and guards that position your fingers perfectly to remove the clip and activate the spray swiftly and with one hand comfortably. This product sprays 25 - 40 feet, depending on temperature and the full bottle can spray for around 7 seconds max at those higher temperatures. My test spray was about half a second in duration as I did not want to waste it. While I'm terrible at estimating distances, it did surprise me how far it went as I was not expecting that. While I cannot comment on deterrent effectiveness, the spray, ease of use, comfort to carry, and safety features are great!

The Sabre spray is affordable, easy to use, and the bottle and top feel sturdy (I have had ones that feel like they might spontaneously combust, which would not be ideal). The included belt holster is also very well made and rugged, and slides easily onto any belt, holding the canister safely and securely during long treks. If you are an avid hunter, hiker, or camper then this is a must-have!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bear spray only has 1 shot. It last between 5 to 7 seconds. It is a massive amount coming out. That is what you need to save your life not a bunch of small sprays. I use mine for coyotes. If you need a bunch of small sprays I recommend wildfire. But for bears, bobcat, coyotes, wolves, or any other animal that can harm you I recommend frontiersman bear spray or a equal brand. The 1 huge spray will be your only immediate help. I buy the 9.2oz can. It usually comes with a free holster.

The truth is- I hope I don’t have to use this soon or really (lol) I hope I never have to use this! I think it’s great that this comes with a holster as well because you really never know. I definitely recommend this brand, if you are in the market for some quality bear spray! 10/10!

I was shocked how lightweight it is to carry on my hip. Also I was absolutely amazed at how far the spray can go! Amazing! I’ll never feel afraid of hiking again! I’d highly recommend this spray! The bonus holster was super helpful!
