Light and Fast
I cannot even begin to tell you how fantastic the shoe is! The upper is sturdy, but malleable enough that it does not feel constrictive on your foot. There's plenty of volume in the upper and the toe box, of course, is nice and roomy. The midsole is responsive, but not overly bouncy. Along with the aggressive outsole, this shoe will get me through my ultras! I'll definitely be getting another pair so I can rotate. It's my new favorite!

It’s their best yet
I’ve ran in countless Altra trail shoes, including the previous Olympus 275 model. The changes they made to the HiLo are exactly what I was looking for in a shoe. It breathes, it’s cushioned enough to keep me comfortable on long days, and it’s responsive. The reason for a 4/5 is I’ve had these shoes for less than 7 days, they have about 30 miles on them, and already started to pull away from the sole near the top (kind of toward the crease where the shoe bends where the toes are) I’m not too concerned just yet, seems like it will hold out for a little while longer, but for the price and the quality of the rest of the shoe, I expected them to hold up a lot better than they have after just 30 miles. Even with that being said, I’d buy these shoes again and I would recommend them. Hopefully this will give some good feedback to the development team, and they can keep making good products even better!
